In one aspect, a method comprises: receiving, by a processing system, requests for information from a plurality of user devices, each of the plurality of user devices having a user interface with capabilities, the capabilities of the user interface of each user device being different than the capabilities of the user interface of each of the other user devices; sending each of a plurality of sets of information to a respective one of the plurality of user devices; and sending information associated with the plurality of sets of information to each of the plurality of user devices, each of the plurality of user devices being configured to receive the respective one of the plurality of sets of information and the information associated with the plurality of sets of information, to select at least one of the items included in the respective set of information for display in a view provided by the user interface of the user device based at least in part on the information associated with the plurality of sets of information and the capabilities of the user interface of the user device, and to display the selected at least one item in a view provided by the user interface of the user device.

A display and operating system of a motor vehicle includes an instrument cluster that is formed by a plurality of display devices and has an outer left-hand display device and an outer right hand display device. A steering wheel of the system includes an outer left-hand operating device configured exclusively for driver interaction with the outer left-hand display device of the instrument cluster and an outer right-hand operating device configured exclusively for driver interaction with the outer right-hand display device of the instrument cluster. Further devices, including at least one of a display device or an operating device, are disposed laterally adjacent to the instrument cluster.

To improve the accuracy and reduce the sensitivity of interference absorptions in a method for determining the concentration of formaldehyde in a medium by an absorption measurement in the range of at least one characteristic absorption band of the formaldehyde and, in the appropriate instance, subtraction of an interference absorption which is determined by at least one absorption measurement in a wavelength range outside of the characteristic absorption band of the formaldehyde, it is proposed that a discharge be maintained at a current strength of several milliamperes in a hollow-cathode lamp filled with molecular nitrogen at a pressure of less than 2 millibar to generate the radiation for the absorption measurement, that the absorption measurement be performed on at least two different characteristic absorption bands of the formaldehyde with absorption coefficients at a previously known ratio to one another which lie in the range of emissions of the gas discharge in the hollow-cathode lamp, that the ratio of the actual absorptions measured on the characteristic absorption bands be formed and compared with the previously known ratio, that in the event of non-coincidence with the previously known ratio, the interference absorption be determined and subtracted from the measured absorptions, and that in the event of coincidence with the previously known ratio, the concentration of the formaldehyde be determined from the measured absorption values or, if interference absorptions are to be subtracted, from the absorption values which have been reduced by the interference absorption.

A display device for a hybrid motor vehicle is configured to display a map that corresponds to a current vehicle position as controlled by a navigation device and to show at least two regions on the map. The regions include a first region that is reachable by the motor vehicle using available electrical energy when driving under purely electromotive power, and a second region that is reachable by the motor vehicle using an available quantity of fuel when driving under at least one of purely internal combustion engine power or combined electromotive power and internal combustion engine power.
