Abstract: The present application discloses an improved transportation matching system, and corresponding methods and computer-readable media. According to disclosed embodiments, a transportation matching system provides a virtual queue in connection with a congested venue. In response to receiving a transportation request from a requestor at a congested venue, the system adds the requestor to a virtual queue. The system then adjusts the virtual queue position as necessary based on the requestor's speed and direction of travel in relation to the venue's pickup location. When the requestor reaches the front of the virtual queue, the system provides a requestor identifier to the requestor. The requestor can then use the requestor identifier to engage any available provider at the venue's pickup location.

Abstract: This disclosure describes one or more embodiments of methods, non-transitory computer-readable media, and systems that utilize computing models to intelligently match provider devices and requester devices in response to event-trigger transportation requests. In particular, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems utilize global positioning information to monitor requester device proximity to pickup locations and generate timely transportation matches for event-trigger transportation requests. For example, the event-trigger transportation matching system matches requester devices and provider devices based on the satisfaction of a location trigger; or, conversely, the event-trigger transportation matching system delays matching processes for provider devices based on a location trigger remaining unsatisfied. Indeed, based on the requester device satisfying a threshold ETA and/or a geofence location trigger, the event-trigger transportation matching system utilizes dynamic approaches to match requester devices with provider devices.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving, by a dynamic transportation system, a request from a transportation provider device outside a transportation provider matching area to enter a pool associated with the transportation provider matching area, adding the transportation provider device to the pool in response to receiving the request, thereby rendering the transportation provider device eligible for transportation matches with transportation requests associated with the transportation provider matching area, and matching a transportation request associated with the transportation provider matching area to the transportation provider for the transportation service based at least in part on the adding the transportation provider device to the pool. Other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed.
