Abstract: An opioid overdose monitoring system configured to generate an overdose risk score of a user of a wearable device can include a physiological sensor coupled to the wearable device having one or more light emitting diodes of the physiological sensor configured to transmit an optical radiation into the tissue site of the user. One or more detectors of the physiological sensor can respond to an intensity of the optical radiation after absorption by the tissue site of the user. At least one hardware processor in communication with the physiological sensor can determine a plurality of parameters based at least on the attenuated light, determine a plurality of characteristics based on the plurality of parameters associated with at least one of instantaneous values and historical physiological parameter, determining an overdose risk score, determine an alarm level, and implement an intervention associated with the determined alarm level.

Abstract: A system for generating an overdose risk score of a user includes a physiological sensor coupled to a wearable device and configured to detect attenuated light from a tissue site of the user and at least one hardware processor. The hardware processor can be configured to determine a plurality of parameters based on the attenuated light, determine a baseline risk, an instability index, an average slope, and desaturation pressure, and determine a weighted aggregate of the baseline risk, the instability index, the average slope, and the desaturation pressure for each of the plurality of parameters, determine an overdose risk score by determining a weighted aggregate of the plurality of parameters, determine an alarm level of a series of escalating alarm levels based on the overdose risk score, and implement intervention associated with the determined alarm level.

Abstract: A system for critical time-based opioid monitoring system includes a physiological monitoring system having a sensor and a system processing board, a computing device configured to receive the parameters, an indication of normal conditions of a user under the circumstances at the time, such as, for example, a body transfer function or user physiological parameter model, to compare the monitored parameters to the normal conditions, and sending a notification when the monitored parameters deviate from the normal condition of a user. A system to monitor for an opioid event includes a physiological monitoring system comprising a sensor configured to monitor physiological parameters and a signal processing board, a computing device to detect an opioid overdose, and a device to stimulate a response when the computing device detects an opioid overdose event is occurring.
