    Abstract: A connecting reinforcement is provided between a hinge pillar and a wheel house so as to reinforce at least around a rear face portion of the wheel house. The connecting reinforcement extends in the vertical direction along a rear face portion of the wheel house and has a closed-cross section space, in a sectional view perpendicular to the vertical direction, inside thereof. A gusset including a slant face portion which is provided at a front face thereof and configured to extend obliquely rearwardly-and-outwardly is provided in the closed-cross section space. A gap space which forms a part of the closed-cross section space is provided between the slant face portion and the rear face portion of the wheel house provided on a wheel-house side so as to face the slant face portion.

    Abstract: A side body structure of a vehicle includes a hinge pillar reinforced by a reinforcement having a side surface and a front surface extending inward in the vehicle width direction from the front end of the side surface. The reinforcement is provided with upper and lower gussets for reinforcing a pair of upper and lower hinge mounting portions, respectively, for a side door. The reinforcement has a first bead portion on the side surface between the upper and lower gussets, and has a second bead portion at an edge portion that is a boundary portion between the side surface and the front surface.     Abstract: A vehicle-body structure of a vehicle includes a first frame forming a closed cross-section portion, a reinforcing member disposed in the closed cross-section portion and connected to the first frame, and another vehicle-body member connected to an outer surface of the first frame. A connection portion of the first frame and the reinforcing member includes a rigid joint portion where the first frame and the reinforcing member are joined, and a flexible joint portion where the first frame and the reinforcing member are joined, with a damper member being disposed therebetween. The other vehicle-body member is connected to the first frame in a manner such that at least a part of the other vehicle-body member overlaps the flexible joint portion in a thickness direction of the first frame, and has a high rigidity portion that enhances rigidity at the part that overlaps the flexible joint portion.
