    Abstract: A vehicle body structure includes a side sill having a closed cross-section portion, and a reinforcement body inside the closed cross-section portion and joined to the side sill. The reinforcement body comprises first and second reinforcement portions. The first reinforcement portion has a first bonding surface on the upper side and is joined to an inner wall of the closed cross-section portion at a portion other than the first bonding surface, and the second reinforcement portion has a second bonding surface facing the first bonding surface from above the first bonding surface, and is joined to the inner wall at a portion other than the second bonding surface. The first and second bonding surfaces are bonded together through a damping member made of an adhesive material. The first and second bonding surfaces are disposed at an inclination angle of 30 degrees or less with respect to a horizontal plane.

    Abstract: A connecting reinforcement is provided between a hinge pillar and a wheel house so as to reinforce at least around a rear face portion of the wheel house. The connecting reinforcement extends in the vertical direction along a rear face portion of the wheel house and has a closed-cross section space, in a sectional view perpendicular to the vertical direction, inside thereof. A gusset including a slant face portion which is provided at a front face thereof and configured to extend obliquely rearwardly-and-outwardly is provided in the closed-cross section space. A gap space which forms a part of the closed-cross section space is provided between the slant face portion and the rear face portion of the wheel house provided on a wheel-house side so as to face the slant face portion.

    Abstract: A protection member arranged below a frame member so as to face an onboard member from an outward side, in a vehicle width direction, thereof and a support member fixed to a lower face of the frame member so as to support the protection member are provided. The support member comprises a bottom wall portion including a facing portion which faces an upper end portion of the protection member in a vertical direction and extending along a lower face of the frame member and a vertical wall portion having a base end thereof which corresponds to an inward edge of the bottom wall portion and extending downward. The vertical wall portion is provided with a curve portion protruding inward and an extension portion extending toward a tip side from the curve portion and positioned on the outward side, in the vehicle width direction, of the curve portion.

    Abstract: A front vehicle-body structure includes a front wheel including a wheel; and a side sill that extends in a front-rear direction on a rear side of the front wheel and has side sill inner and outer portions positioned on vehicle-width-direction inner and outer sides, respectively. Vehicle-width-direction end portions of the inner and outer portions are joined at a joined portion formed by the vehicle-width-direction end portions abutting against each other. The inner portion has a higher buckling strength in the front-rear direction than the outer portion. The joined portion has a second joined portion extending inclined to the vehicle-width-direction outer side toward a rear side, and a first joined portion bent from the second joined portion, extending to a front side, and positioned on a front-end portion of the side sill closer to the vehicle-width-direction inner side than a center line of the wheel in the vehicle width direction.
