Abstract: Frames for a head-mounted display may include a front frame portion, a facial interface portion with outer peripheral regions configured to flex to conform to a user's facial features when in use, and two upper support elements connecting the facial interface portion to the front frame portion. Intersection points between the upper support elements and the facial interface portion may be separated by a common interpupillary distance of expected users. Various other methods, head-mounted displays, frames and frame elements, and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A handheld controller configured to be held by a user's hand. The handheld controller comprising a main body, and a handle extending from the main body, wherein the handle has a palm side and a finger side. A control button is positioned on the main body or handle, and a detection sensor is on the handle. The detection sensor is positioned to detect the presence of the finger or palm of a user's hand engaging the handle. The detection sensor can be a capacitive touch sensor, a proximity sensor or other detection sensor operative to detect the touch or spatial presence of the user's hand or fingers.

Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may a strap adjustment mechanism having a first strap and a second strap positioned to at least partially overlap the first strap. The strap adjustment mechanism may also include a first strap adjuster, and a proximal portion of the first strap may be coupled to the first strap adjuster and the second strap is threaded through the first strap adjuster. In addition, the strap adjustment mechanism may include a second strap adjuster, and a proximal portion of the second strap is coupled to the second strap adjuster and the first strap is threaded through the second strap adjuster. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: Frame assemblies for a head-mounted display may include a facial interface frame, a display support frame, and at least one extendible tab coupled to the facial interface frame and the display support frame. The at least one extendible tab may be movable between a retracted position at which a near-eye display supported by the display support frame is located a first distance from the facial interface frame and a second position at which the near-eye display is located at a second, greater distance from the facial interface frame. Various other methods, head-mounted displays, frames and frame elements, and systems are also disclosed.
