Abstract: In response to detecting an incident at a building, a risk assessment for the building is performed. The risk assessment identifies dynamic security constraints for different locations at the building. A set of behavioral rules for controlling a sensor system at the building is updated based on the risk assessment to obtain an updated set of behavioral rules. The sensor system operating under the updated set of behavioral rules is referenced to detect a visitor at a location of the building during the incident. The location of the visitor is correlated to the risk assessment to determine a specific information security risk posed by the visitor. A recommended follow-up action is generated based on the specific information security risk.

Abstract: One example method includes receiving, at an electronic computing device, a user query and identifying a time window in the past associated with the user query. The method further includes determining that the user query relates to a public safety incident. The method further includes generating a response to the user query. The response is generated as a function of the time window and information relating to the public safety incident. The method further includes storing the response such that information included in the response is added to one of (i) timeline information associated with a user of a communication device at a time commensurate with the time window and (ii) timeline information associated with the public safety incident at a time commensurate with the time window.

Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying query status information on a graphical user interface. One system includes an electronic computing device that includes one or more electronic processors communicatively coupled to a touch sensitive display. The one or more electronic processors are configured to read a gesture made on the touch sensitive display, generate a query based on the gesture, and display a displayed gesture on the touch sensitive display. The displayed gesture substantially encloses an area of the touch sensitive display. The one or more electronic processors are further configured to generate a response to the query, configure the area on the touch sensitive display substantially enclosed by the displayed gesture to be a button, receive an input indicating that the button has been touched, and output the response to the query.

Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering a voice message. One method includes determining, by an electronic computing device, an environmental condition of a user. The method further includes generating, by the electronic computing device, a voice message based on the environmental condition such that the voice message includes an encoded meaning. The method further includes determining, by the electronic computing device, a voice profile of the voice message based on the environmental condition. The voice profile indicates the encoded meaning. The method further includes outputting the voice message in accordance with the voice profile with a speaker of a communication device.

Abstract: Processes and systems for displaying information received in a query response. One system includes a communication device including a user interface and an electronic processor. The electronic processor transmits a query, and receives a response to the query including stored information in each of a plurality of fields of information about an object of interest. The electronic processor receives an image of the object from a camera, identifies visually descriptive text information describing the object, and categorizes at least a portion of the visually descriptive text information into the plurality of fields of information. The electronic processor determines a confidence level for each field of information based on a comparison of the stored information and the visually descriptive text information in each field, and displays the stored information in one or more fields for which the confidence level of the comparison is below a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A device, system and method for interoperability between digital evidence management systems (DEMS) is provided. A DEMS proxy computing device received, from a requesting device, a search string requesting digital evidence. The proxy provides, to a plurality of separate DEMS devices maintained by separate public safety agencies: corresponding search strings; and identification information identifying one or more of: a public safety role of a user of the requesting device, and a public safety agency membership of the user. The proxy receives, from at least a particular DEMS device, of the plurality of separate DEMS devices, a digital evidence record based on the search string, the digital evidence record describing a piece of digital evidence managed by the particular DEMS device, and including chain-of-custody information. The proxy provides, to the requesting device, the digital evidence record and the chain-of-custody information.

Abstract: A system and method for a providing a dynamic backhaul. In one example, the system includes a self-positionable wireless device (for example, a drone) including a dual-band radio configured to establish a wireless connection between the self-positionable wireless device and a wireless system. The dual-band radio initiates a narrowband wireless link with the wireless system via a first narrowband antenna of the self-positionable wireless device and a second narrowband antenna of the wireless system. A navigation system generates location, velocity and error estimate of the self-positionable wireless device. The location is transmitted to the wireless system using the narrowband wireless link. The self-positionable wireless device receives via the narrowband wireless link location, velocity and error estimate of the wireless system. The self-positionable wireless device establishes a directional broadband wireless link with the wireless system using the location, velocity and error estimate of the self-positionable wireless system and the wireless system.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for pairing devices is provided herein. During operation, an initial orientation of the two devices is determined. If the initial orientation of the two devices match a predetermined orientation offset from each other, then after a period of time, the orientation of the devices is again determined. If a final orientation of the two devices match a second predetermined orientation offset (e.g., devices are aligned), and both devices have rotated, then the two devices are paired.
