摘要: A concentric, double hull, damage tolerant airframe vehicle double clad with a lightweight, impact resistant ceramic matrix composite for heat shielding and flame resistance, and fitted with insulation, to provide thermal protection from 35° C. to 1,650° C. of the internal fuselage areas for an extended period of time within an extreme heat environment, that will serve as a semi or fully autonomous vehicle, manned or unmanned, preferably an unmanned aerial vehicle designed as the delivery means to suppress or extinguish flames by repeatedly discharging pressure waves against flames without having to exit the fire environment.

摘要: An aerial monitoring system includes a base station having a controller and a user interface. The controller is configured to receive a first signal from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) indicative of a point cloud corresponding to a target object on a target agricultural tool. The controller is also configured to compare the point cloud to a model of the target object in a reference unworn state and to determine a state of wear of the target object based on the comparison. In addition, the controller is configured to determine an estimated cost to repair or replace the target object and/or a value of the target agricultural tool based on the state of wear of the target object. The controller is also configured to instruct the user interface to present the estimated cost to repair or replace the target object and/or the value of the target agricultural tool.

The processing unit is configured to generate a spray record for an environment within which the aerial vehicle is operating, the spray record comprising: information over a time period of at least one spray condition relating to one or more of the at least one spray unit for the aerial vehicle operating within the environment over the time period, the determined air movement direction relative to the projection of the fore-aft axis onto the ground over the time period, and the determined air movement speed relative to the ground over the time period. The output unit is configured to output the spray record.

摘要: An unmanned aerial vehicle for application of an active ingredient to agricultural crops is configured to hold: a liquid comprising the active ingredient in at least one liquid reservoir housed within or attached to the unmanned aerial vehicle. At least one liquid application unit is housed within or attached to the unmanned aerial vehicle and in fluid communication with the at least one liquid reservoir. The housing of at least one sensor unit which is configured to determine sense information comprising sensing a functioning of one or more of: the at least one liquid reservoir, the at least one liquid application unit, the at least one operating unit. A processing unit determines an instruction to the unmanned aerial vehicle to dock with a base station and get a service from the base station. This determination step comprises utilization of sense information.

摘要: A method and apparatus for inspecting an aeronautical light using an aerial vehicle are disclosed. The method includes defining a first reference point based on a plurality of aeronautical lights installed on a runway surface, and defining a second reference point based on the first reference point, defining a flight path of the aerial vehicle taking off from the second reference point and heading to the first reference point, transmitting, to the ground, an image of the aeronautical lights photographed by the aerial vehicle, and inspecting and adjusting elevation angles of the aeronautical lights by analyzing the image of the aeronautical lights in real time.

The UAV may include a chemical spray system having one or more spray booms with multiple nozzles for dispersing a chemical. The chemical spray system may include one or more tanks attached to the body of the UAV and a pump fluidly connected to the tanks to disperse chemical via the spray booms.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein enable routine autonomous execution of at least some major phases of aerostat operation in response to commands from human or automated external operators, a built-in decision-making capacity, or both. Various embodiments combine one or more actively controlled tethers, aerodynamic aerostat control surfaces, mechanical assistive devices (e.g., jointed arms attached to a ground station), and/or active propulsors attached to the aerostat to govern aerostat behavior during launch, flight, and landing phases of operation. Some embodiments enable automatic autonomous performance of all phases of routine post-commissioning aerostat operation, including launch, flight, and landing, without any routine need for availability of a human crew.
