摘要: A first layer one link aggregation master comprises a first port coupled to receive customer traffic; a first channel; a second channel; an aggregation engine coupled to the first and second channels; a first switch circuit coupled to the first port and to the first channel, and configured to communicate the customer traffic from the first port over the first channel to the aggregation engine, the aggregation engine including a splitter circuit configured to use layer one information to segment at least a portion of the customer traffic into a first virtual container and a second virtual container, the aggregation engine further including an encapsulation circuit configured to encapsulate the second virtual container using Ethernet standards for transport over the second channel; a radio access card configured to generate an air frame based on the first virtual container for wireless transmission over a first wireless link of a link aggregation group to the receiver; and a second switch circuit coupled to the second channel, and configured to communicate the Ethernet-encapsulated second virtual container over an Ethernet cable to a slave for wireless transmission over a second wireless link of the link aggregation group to the receiver.

摘要: With multiple connections (20) communicatively coupling a User Equipment (UE) (12) to a wireless communication network (10), methods and apparatuses disclosed for performing flow control at the Radio Link Control (RLC) level advantageously control the shares of overall data conveyed on the respective connections (20) in a manner that accounts for changing conditions on the involved radio links (22) while accommodating signaling delays and other complexities that arise from distributed or virtualized implementations of the underlying processing apparatuses (18). The disclosed methods and apparatuses have applicability both to uplink multi-connectivity and downlink multi-connectivity, and apply to various multi-connectivity scenarios, including scenarios involving mixed Radio Access Technologies (RATs) and Carrier Aggregation (CA) configurations that aggregate two or more Component Carriers (CCs) for carrying user traffic between a UE (12) and the network (10).

摘要: Current data center deployments, particularly layer 2 (L2) deployments that use multi-chassis link aggregation group (MC-LAG) implementations, have limitations. Such deployments use a link, known as an inter-node link (INL)/inter-chassis link (ICL), to connect peer information handling system nodes. Because the peer nodes are coupled together via one or more INL connections, there are fewer ports available for each peer node to connect to end nodes. This configuration creates limitations to bandwidth and scaling, and also increase costs. Embodiments herein allow for the elimination of INLs by moving forwarding decisions to the spine node level. In one or more embodiments, a spine node determines ports to reach dual-homed, single-homed, and orphaned node that are connected to leaf node(s) based on information learned from the leaf nodes. For a leaf node, a sub-LAG (link aggregation group) may be created to reach single-homed/orphaned nodes connected to the leaf node.
