    Abstract: A dimming method is to be implemented by a brightness divider, and includes steps of: (A) determining whether a brightness value is smaller than or equal to a predetermined reference value; (B) when it is determined in step (A) that the brightness value is smaller than or equal to the predetermined reference value, setting a magnitude value that is related to a current generator, and setting a pulse width value that is related to a switch based on the brightness value; and (C) when it is determined in step (A) that the brightness value is not smaller than or equal to the predetermined reference value, setting the magnitude value based on the brightness value, the predetermined reference value and a predetermined order setting, and setting the pulse width value based on the predetermined reference value.

    Abstract: A scan-type display apparatus includes an LED array and a data driver. The LED array has a common cathode configuration, and includes multiple scan lines, multiple data lines and multiple LEDs. The data driver includes multiple data driving circuits, each of which includes a current driver and a detector. The current driver has an output terminal connected to the data line corresponding to the data driving circuit, and outputs one of a drive current and a clamp voltage at the output terminal of the current driver based on a pulse width control signal. The detector is connected to the current driver, and generates a detection signal that indicates whether any one of the LEDs connected to the data line corresponding to the data driving circuit is short circuited based on a detection timing signal and a feed-in voltage related to a voltage at the output terminal of the current driver.

    Abstract: A driving system is operatively associated with a light emitting array that includes a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of channel lines and a plurality of light emitting elements. The driving system includes a voltage converter circuit and a driver circuit. The voltage converter circuit converts, based on a control signal, an input voltage into an output voltage that has a magnitude related to the control signal. The driver circuit drives the light emitting elements via the scan lines and the channel lines, is operable, based on voltages at the channel lines, to pull or not to pull a voltage at a common node to a logic level, and generates the control signal based on the voltage at the common node.

The driving device includes a controller, a charge balance line and a charge sharing circuit. The controller generates a control output.     Abstract: A display system includes an LED array and a driving device. The driving device includes a current driver, a scan selector and a capacitor. The current driver is connected to drive lines of the LED array, and provides a plurality of driving current signals respectively to the drive lines. The scan selector is connected to scan lines of the LED array, and has a first terminal that is configured to receive an input voltage, and a second terminal. The scan selector outputs the input voltage to a selected one of the scan lines, and outputs a clamp voltage provided at the second terminal thereof to the other ones of the scan lines. The capacitor has a first terminal, and a second terminal that is connected to the second terminal of the scan selector.
