摘要: The invention discloses a method (300) for a cellular system (100) with a first node (110) which controls traffic to and from users (120) in a cell (130). Traffic between the users (120) and the first node (110) comprises user resources and control resources, with uplink traffic, comprising channels sent in data frames (200). Each data frame comprises a number of resource blocks (1, 2, 3, 4), and each uplink channel is allotted an amount of resource blocks in each data frame. At least part of the traffic between the users and the first node is divided (305) into first and second groups, and a cell's usage of the first and second group is monitored (310). The amount of resource blocks which is allotted to one of the uplink channels in a cell (130) is varied (315) depending on the cell's usage of these two groups.

摘要: A user terminal (115, 200) for a wireless communications system, equipped with at least two antennas (205, 206, 207) for the reception and/or transmission of traffic from a higher node (105). The user terminal (115, 200) is arranged to receive (210) said traffic in one or more data streams (S1, S2) i.e. with a rank of one or higher. The user terminal is arranged (215, 216, 220) to choose with which rank the higher node (105) should transmit the traffic to the user terminal (115, 200) on, and to also signal this choice to the higher node (105). The user terminal (115, 200) is arranged to base its choice of rank on the estimated received data rate at the user terminal for different transmission ranks, the estimated power consumption in the user terminal for different transmission ranks and the Signal to Noise ratio, SIR, of the channel at the UE.

摘要: The invention discloses a method (400) for a cellular system (100), with a first node (110) which schedules traffic to and from users (120) in a cell (130). The first node uses a first channel (230) in a first kind of data frame (200) to transmit scheduling information to users in a cell. The first kind of data frame (200) comprises a plurality of symbols (210), a number of which are used for the first channel, and according to the invention the first node assigns (405) scheduling information to the symbols (210) in the first channel. The number of symbols used for the first channel is variable (410) and calculated (415) before the scheduling information is assigned to the symbols in the first channel, and is dependent (420) on the number of symbols were needed for scheduling information during a period of time before said calculation is made.

摘要: A method and apparatus for a cellular system is provided. Communication is carried out between a controlling station of a cell and a number of users in said cell, and the controlling station is equipped with a plurality of antennas. The communication can alter between a first and a second mode, and the users in the cell provide the controlling station with feedback information regarding their reception quality. The controlling station alters between said first and second modes of communication as a result of the reliability of the feedback information from the users in the cell, so that if the reliability is above a first threshold, the first mode is used, and if the reliability is equal to or below said first threshold, the second mode is used.

摘要: The invention relates to the field of methods and arrangements pertaining to transceivers. The object of the invention is to enable transceivers to be used more simply and more cheaply. This is achieved with an improved method of calibrating transceivers, and with transceivers that can be calibrated in accordance with the method. A sequence of signal connections (60–70) is established between a transmitter chain (3) and a receiver chain (5) in a transceiver. A corresponding sequence of signal paths is established from a baseband stage in the transmitter chain to a baseband stage in the receiver chain. Each signal path includes at least one specific component that shall be calibrated with the use of the established signal path, wherein any further components in said signal path will have already been calibrated with the use of earlier established signal paths. When calibrating the components, pre-determined test signals (TS1–TS11) are sent over the signal paths, wherein the response signals (RS1–RS11) are received as a response to the transmitted test signals. It is ascertained whether or not the components in the transceiver fulfil pre-determined performance requirements, on the basis of the test signals and the response signals. The components are adjusted when they do not fulfil performance requirements.
