摘要: Disclosed is a discharge device (20) which comprises a power supply unit (22) that supplies a first voltage, a piezoelectric transducer (24) that increases the first voltage to a second voltage by means of vibrations, and a first electrode (26) for producing a discharge product (P) by performing a discharge upon application of the second voltage. The first electrode (26) and the piezoelectric transducer (24) are electrically connected with each other via a vibration damping unit (30). In other words, the first electrode (26) and the piezoelectric transducer (24) are arranged to be out of contact with each other.

摘要: A platinum microparticles generator comprises a linear first electrode, a board-shaped second electrode, and an applying means. The first electrode contains at least platinum. The second electrode comprises an outlet opening, which is a circular through-hole, located so as to face one end of the first electrode. The applying means applies a voltage between the first and second electrodes. Then, the first electrode has an outside diameter in a range of 0.03 [mm] to 0.10 [mm]. Further, the outlet opening has an inside diameter in a range of 1.0 [mm] to 4.5 [mm]. Thus, the platinum microparticles generator can emit a sufficient amount of platinum microparticles while restraining generation of ozone.

摘要: Disclosed is an electrostatic atomizer, which comprises a cooler adapted to cool an atomizing electrode so as to allow moisture in air to be frozen onto the atomizing electrode, a melter adapted to melt ice frozen on the atomizing electrode so as to supply water onto the atomizing electrode, a high-voltage applying section adapted to apply a high voltage to the atomizing electrode, and a control section adapted to activate the high-voltage applying section in a state after supplying water onto the atomizing electrode by melting the ice frozen thereon, so as to apply a high voltage to the atomizing electrode to electrostatically atomize the water supplied on the atomizing electrode. The electrostatic atomizer of the present invention can reliably supply water onto the atomizing electrode and electrostatically atomize the water, without restrictions due to temperature/humidity conditions in a mist-receiving space targeted for implementation of electrostatic atomization therewithin, even if the mist-receiving space has a low temperature and/or a low humidity.
