Abstract: A method of atomizing a fluid composition is provided that includes dynamically measuring the minimum-required actuation energy for the fluid composition. The method includes the steps of: connecting a microfluidic cartridge with a housing of a microfluidic device, the microfluidic cartridge comprising a reservoir containing the fluid composition and a microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir; the microfluidic device comprising a controller; measuring the minimum-required actuation energy for the fluid composition at a first time; atomizing the fluid composition in a first atomization period; measuring the minimum-required actuation energy for a fluid composition at a second time that is after the first time; and atomizing the fluid composition in a second atomization period.

Abstract: A scent delivery system includes first and second scent delivery units and a central controller. The central controller is configured to generate command data capable of affecting operation of at least the first and second units based on one or more scenting schedules. The central controller is also configured to determine a relatedness and an order of priority between the units, and determine whether a desired activation time for the first unit overlaps at least partially with a desired activation time for the second unit. Based upon a determination that the first unit is related to the second unit and that a desired activation time for the first unit overlaps at least partially with a desired activation time for the second unit, the central controller is further configured to coordinate activity level of each of the first and second delivery units during the overlapping activation time according to the order of priority.

Abstract: A microfluidic delivery device and method of dispensing a fluid composition therefrom is provided. The microfluidic delivery device includes a housing electrically connectable with a power source; a cartridge releasably connectable with the housing; and a fan connected with the housing. The cartridge has a reservoir for containing a fluid composition and microfluidic die in fluid communication with the reservoir. The die is configured such that substantially all of the fluid composition exits the microfluidic die in a horizontal direction or downward direction relative to horizontal. The fan is configured to generate air flow that converges with and redirects the fluid composition dispensed from the microfluidic die in an upward direction relative to horizontal.

Abstract: There is provided a system and method of cleaning surfaces of an enclosable environment of a contamination comprising a microbial and viral load. The method includes the steps of sealing the enclosable environment and placing water, and a solid or gel pack, into a container and generating a vortex the container by rotating an impeller. The agitation causes the solid or gel pack to release a gaseous cleaning agent. An air-borne spray exiting from the container spreads throughout the enclosable environment to contact the surfaces to be cleaned within the enclosable environment. The enclosable environment is maintained closed for an effective time period while the air-borne spray dwells on the surfaces to eliminate or substantially reduce the load of the contamination.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a perfume dispersing device for dispersing a plurality of flavours of perfume.
