Abstract:
Apparatus for remotely controlling electrical equipment includes a ground fault interrupter circuit having a selectively operable circuit breaker for connecting and disconnecting power to the electrical equipment, a transmitter for generating amplitude modulated electromagnetic radiation when it is desired to operate the circuit breaker, and a receiver responsive to the electromagnetic radiation for selectively operating the circuit breaker.
Abstract:
A ground fault interruptor circuit interrupts the flow of current to a pair of lines extending between a source of power and a load. The ground fault interruptor circuit includes a circuit breaker comprising a normally open switch located in one or both of the lines, a relay circuit for selectively closing the normally open switch, an electronic latch circuit operable in first and second bi-stable states and a fault sensing circuit for sensing the presence of a fault condition in at least one of the lines. The electronic latch circuit causes the relay circuit to close the normally open switch and maintain the normally open switch in its closed position when the electronic latch circuit is in the first bi-stable state. The electronic latch circuit also causes the relay circuit to permit the normally open switch to return to its normally open condition when the latch circuit is in its second bi-stable state. A fault sensing circuit senses the presence of a fault condition in at least one of the lines and causes the electronic latch circuit to latch in its second state upon detection of the fault condition.

The invention provides anti-EGF-like module containing, mucin-like, hormone receptor-like 1 (EMR1) antibodies and methods of using such antibodies to treat EMR1-related diseases.
Abstract:
The current invention provides high-affinity antibodies to the Pseudomonas aeruginosa PcrV protein that have reduced immunogenicity when administered to treat Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections.
Abstract:
A vacuum head assembly is disclosed which includes a vacuum head detachably connected to a secondary head, which is designed to carry an electrostatic cloth. The secondary head assumes a horizontal position behind the vacuum head so that the scoop of the vacuum head moves across the surface to be cleaned first followed by the secondary head, equipped with the electrostatic cloth. The cloth thus engages the floor after the scoop of the vacuum head. The secondary head carrying the electrostatic cloth may be easily connected to and disconnected from the vacuum head thereby rendering the vacuum head suitable for both hard and soft (i.e., carpeted) surfaces.
Abstract:
A reluctance machine includes a stator having a stator core. The stator core includes a central bore and a plurality of stator poles extending inwardly from the stator core. Each of the stator poles includes a stator pole face. The reluctance machine further includes a rotor having a plurality of rotor poles. Each of the rotor poles includes a rotor pole face. Each of the rotor pole faces includes a first portion, a second portion that is radially inwardly stepped with respect to the first portion to create a non-uniform air gap between the rotor pole face and a corresponding stator pole face, and a protrusion located at an edge of the second portion of the rotor pole face.
Abstract:
For preventing the spread, that is the radial widening, of the sides of a clip ring, a retainer or spread preventer is provided in the shape of a cup washer with the internal periphery of its annular ring part sized to engage the outer sides of the clip ring to prevent the clip ring sides from spreading. The clip ring may be disposed on a shaft, and the clip ring may be caused to spread wide by the shaft being moved axially, which draws the clip ring against a stationary abutment, and the retainer prevents such spreading.
