A method embodiment includes receiving one or more GIS datasets in their respective source formats, each GIS dataset comprising one or more map assets, translating the GIS datasets into a platform independent format, and providing the translated GIS datasets and their respective map assets in the platform independent format to one or more client platforms. The embodiment further includes identifying missing map assets and metadata that comprise a GIS dataset, tracking map assets that comprise a single translated GIS dataset to maintain the translated GIS dataset as a single entity, and providing the translated GIS datasets to a serving system.

    摘要: A wireless mesh network with dynamic back off for reduced power consumption is generally described herein. In some embodiments, the wireless mesh network includes a network controller to configure a data frame comprising a sync period followed by at least one data period and a plurality of network nodes configured to operate in at least one of a network-running mode and a sleep/RF quiet mode. The network controller is configured to transmit synchronization messages during a first portion of the sync period and receive upstream requests from the network nodes during a second portion of the sync period. During the sleep/RF quiet mode, the network nodes are configured to wake up periodically during a listening interval for detection of a synchronization message from the network controller, and return to the sleep/RF quiet mode and increase a back-off time between listening intervals for increasingly longer periods when no synchronization message is detected.

    摘要: A coating for sealing carbon--carbon composites against hydrogen. The coating comprises a first layer of silicon carbide and a second layer of a glass, glass-ceramic or a low-melting-point metal such as tin or an alloy thereof. Particularly when such second layer is a glass, e.g. an SiO.sub.2 -containing glass, or a glass-ceramic, preferably the silicon carbide coating is pretreated, e.g. by oxidation thereof to form a thin layer of SiO.sub.2 prior to application of the glass layer. The glass layer can be an SiO.sub.2 glass formed by sputtering or by decomposition of tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) applied to the oxidized silicon carbide coating. An alkali metal oxide, e.g. Na.sub.2 O, or an alkaline earth metal oxide, e.g. BaO, can be added to the SiO.sub.2 glass.

    摘要: The present invention is an apparatus for controlling a water delivery system utilizing an instant flow tankless water heater. It includes a programmable microprocessor with support circuitry to achieve control of the outlet temperature of a varying flow rate and varying inlet temperature stream. The system senses a water outlet temperature and controls AC power through an on/off mechanism to regulate power to heating elements embedded in the water stream. The capabilities of the heating elements are improved through the application of using a microprocessor to perform a proportional (P), integrating (I) and derivative (D) calculation. The calculations are used to determine the operating characteristics of the heating system and to control the heating system.
