摘要:
A computer-implemented method for use in natural language translation comprises performing in software processes, the steps of: comparing source material with stored material in a first natural language, said stored material having previously been translated from said first natural language to at least a second natural language, identifying at least a part of said source material which has a relationship with at least a part of said stored material, outputting said identified part of source material and said identified part of stored material in a form suitable for review by a user, and replacing said identified part of source material with said identified part of stored material to assist full translation of said source material from said first natural language to at least said second natural language.

摘要:
A computer-implemented method for use in natural language translation. The method involves attaching pieces of linguistic information to two or more source language elements in a source material in a first natural language. The pieces of linguistic information are matched to one or more predetermined parse rules. Associations are then formed between the two or more source language elements to form terminology candidates, which are then presented to human reviewers. Terminology candidates are subsequently validated by a user, becoming validated terminology which is then translated into a second, different, natural language, becoming translated terminology. The translated terminology can then be loaded into a machine-translation dictionary which can be used during subsequent machine-assisted translations.

An electrical cable may be provided. The electrical cable may comprise a conductor and a fiber optic member. The fiber optic member may comprise an optical fiber and a sheath surrounding the optical fiber. The sheath may be configured to not damage the optical fiber when the electrical cable is bent.
摘要:
An electrical cable having a holding member arranged within the cable for an optic fiber, which can be used for temperature sensing and/or communications. The holding member can replace one or more strands of the cable, be placed inside an interstice of the cable, be placed in between various layers of the cable, or placed in the jacket of the cable. At least one strength member may be adjacent to and/or attached to the holding member to provide additional protection for the optic fiber.

Monitoring may be provided. First, data may be received comprising a current location of a point on a span of conductor or a current angle of a section of the span of conductor. Next, a sag may be calculated of the span of conductor based upon the current location of the point on the span of conductor and the current angle of the section of the span of conductor. An alert may then be provided when the calculated sag is outside of a predetermined range for the span.

Power sources and methods for applying a force to an object include use of thermite in a quantity sufficient to generate a thermite reaction, and a gas producing substance disposed in association with the thermite. The gas producing substance produces a gas when the thermite reaction occurs. The thermite reaction, the gas, or combinations thereof provide a force to the object. The gas can slow the thermite reaction to enable slower or continuous application of force while being non-extinguishing of the thermite reaction. The gas can further control heat transfer from the thermite reaction to adjacent objects.

Maintenance monitoring may be provided. First, a plurality of status data respectively corresponding to a plurality of components on a power line may be collected. Then the collected plurality of status data may be analyzed to determine when a one of the collected plurality of status data is outside of a normal operation range for a one of the plurality of components corresponding to the one of the collected plurality of status data. Next, results of the collected data analysis may be displayed. The results may indicate that the one of the collected plurality of status data is outside of the normal operation range for the one of the plurality of components corresponding to the one of the collected plurality of status data.
