    摘要: An apparatus for coating a cylinder with a solution. The apparatus has a coater which includes a body having a circular hole through which the cylinder passes. A coating surface is provided on a wall of the circular hole so as to surround an outer surface of the cylinder as the cylinder passes through the circular hole. A solution chamber is provided in the body for storing the solution, and a slit is provided in the body for distributing the solution from the solution chamber to the coating surface. A feeding port is provided on a periphery of the body, and a feeding conduit is provided in the body for connecting the feeding port and the solution chamber so that the solution is fed from the feeding port to the solution chamber. The solution chamber has a height H2 of 5 mm to 50 mm, the slit has a slit gap distance HI, and a ratio H2/H1 is 10 to 1000. In addition, the apparatus also includes a conveyor for conveying the cylinder through the circular hole of the coater so that the outer surface of the cylinder is coated with the solution when the cylinder passes the coating surface provided on the wall of the circular hole.

    摘要: An electrophotographic image forming method is disclosed. The method contains steps of forming an electrostatic latent image on an organic photoreceptor, and developing the electrostatic latent image by a developer containing toner to form a toner image on the photoreceptor. In this method the photoreceptor contains inorganic particles in a surface layer, the toner has circle equivalent diameter d of 3.0 to 8.0 μm viewed from a direction which maximizes the projective area of toner particles, the toner has a flatness ratio d/t of 2.0 to 5.0, wherein d is circle equivalent diameter and t is average thickness of toner particles, and the electrostatic latent image is developed in such a manner that the developing sleeve is rotated in the opposite direction to the photoreceptor.
