摘要: A zero point adjusting method and apparatus for a pressure detector of an injection molding machine, capable of carrying out a zero point adjustment of the pressure detector when external loads acting on the pressure detector are completely removed without disassembling an injection mechanism. An advance limit position Qf and a retreat limit position Qb of a screw are detected by driving the screw with a low output to determine an intermediate position Pm. By moving the screw to the intermediate position Pm, a resin reaction force acting directly on the screw is removed. Reciprocating motion in which an amplitude decreases gradually is imparted to the screw, thereby causing a backlash, having equal plays in the advance and retreat directions, between a ball nut and a ball screw. Then, the zero point adjustment of the pressure detector is made.

摘要: A temperature control method for an injection molding machine capable of performing stable temperature control at all times irrespective of the heat capacity of an object of temperature control. A temperature of an object of temperature control, such as a heating region of an injection cylinder, an injection nozzle and a mold, is detected by a respective temperature sensor G1-Gn. A feedback control of temperature is performed by a servo CPU (24) so that the detected temperature coincides with a set temperature, to obtain an electric current command value. Further, an actual electric current flowing in each of heaters H1-Hn is detected, and a feedback control of electric current is performed so that the actual current coincides with the current command value obtained by the temperature feedback control. Thus, stable temperature control is realized with less fluctuations of the electric current flowing in the respective heater H1-Hn and less fluctuations of the temperature of the object of temperature control in comparison with on/off control method.

摘要: A discrimination method for maintenance timing for injection molding machines, detects the respective values of molding process parameters of a plurality of types, including injection time, maximum injection pressure, etc., for each of the injection molding machines (7-1 to 7-M). Up-to-date process parameter values for the molding machine are entered as a set of monitor data in a molding monitor unit (1) every time a predetermined number of molding cycles are executed in each molding machine. A plurality of monitor data values for each type are read, on a time-series basis, from a memory (4) loaded with a plurality of sets of up-to-date monitor data values associated with each molding machine, by means of a microprocessor (2), and dot-line data are generated. Based on an approximate equation of the first degree indicative of the transition trend of each type of monitor data obtained using the dot-line data, an estimated value of the monitor data for a point in time after the present point of time is calculated. A warning message to demand the maintenance of an expendable part of the injection molding machine associated with the monitor data is displayed on the screen of a display unit (6) when it is concluded that the estimated value deviates from an allowable range for the monitor data. Thus, maintenance timing for the injection molding machine can be confirmed without disassembling the injection molding machine.

摘要: A molding condition recording apparatus having a manual data input device with a CRT. The manual data input device has various keys for inputting parameters of various groups used for controlling injection, hold, metering and cylinder temperature, and for inputting molding defect indication data. A microprocessor for a programmable machine controller causes the input parameters and the molding defect indication data to be stored in a molding condition storage region of a shared memory (S5). The microprocessor then discriminates similarity between the thus stored molding condition and the molding condition already registered in a molding condition/molding defect storage file of a memory other than the shared memory (S7). If there is similarity between these molding conditions, the microprocessor causes the CRT to display an alarm message thereon together with the parameter already registered in the file and the mold defect indication data (S12). When there is no similarity between the molding conditions, the microprocessor transfers the molding condition stored in the shared memory to the file for storage therein. Even when the alarm message is displayed, a similar transfer and storage process is carried out if it is requested by an operator (S 13).

摘要: A software servo control apparatus for use in an electrically-operated injection molding machine, which is capable of changing servo control variable constants, without the need of changing hardware arrangement, for greatly enhancing versatility for the machine, and of effecting appropriate pressure control. A servo control microprocessor (13) operates, in accordance with a servo control program, to determine a commanded current on the basis of a positional deviation amount, obtained from an output of a pulse encoder (5), and a moving command. The servo control microprocessor also determines an amount of a change in the output of the pulse encoder, and supplies a power amplifier (6) with the difference between the commanded current and an output of the same amplifier, for control of the drive of a servomotor (2). Further, the output of the amplifier is restricted to a value less than a commanded torque on the basis of an output of a pressure sensor (4) and the commanded torque.

摘要: A programmable logic controller capable of freely and sequentially controlling peripheral equipment without modifying a system program. Necessary data for sequence control of the peripheral equipment are selected from data defined in the system program. The memory addresses corresponding to the data are assigned to addresses to be used in a user program in an address storage unit. The controller executes the system program to sequentially control an industrial machine, and also executes the user program to control the peripheral equipment. The controller refers to the data being used in executing the system program, which are necessary for sequence control of the peripheral equipment, based on the designated relationship of the addresses stored in the address storage unit. Since necessary data for sequence control of the peripheral equipment can be obtained by combining the addresses arbitrarily by the user, it is not necessary to modify the system program in order to obtain the necessary data for sequence control of the peripheral equipment.

摘要: An injection/hold pressure control apparatus which permits the production of high-quality molded articles without the need of using an expensive internal mold pressure sensor. When a plurality of points specifying a target injection/hold pressure curve represented as a function of the time period elapsed after the start of injection are manually input in succession, a processor (109) of a numerical control unit (100) calculates a group of target injection/hold pressure data on the basis of the target pressure curve drawn on a screen of a display unit (113), and stores them in a lookup table in a shared memory (102). Upon start of the injection, a comparator (11), connected to a pressure sensor (4) mounted on an injection screw (1) for detecting an actual injection/hold pressure, is connected to the numerical control unit through a first changeover switch (6). The target pressure data is successively read out from the lookup table and delivered to the comparator, and the drive of an injection servomotor (2) is controlled by a torque control section of a servo circuit (200) responsive to the comparator output indicating the deviation between the actual pressure and the target pressure, so that the injection/hold pressure is always controlled to a proper value in a closed-loop, to thereby improve the quality of molded articles.

摘要: A method for positioning an operating unit of an electrically-operated injection molding machine at a predetermined operating position in an optimum manner, by using widths of positive-side and negative-side regions of an allowable positioning zone which are set independently of one another in accordance with the operating direction of the operating unit and the function to be achieved by the operating unit. Positioning of a screw at an injection-end position is completed when the actual screw position (PA) is equal to or less than the sum of a target injection-end position (PS) and the positive-side region width (W1), which is set to "0", and is equal to or larger than the value obtained by substracting the negative-side region width (W2) from the target position (PS), so that the screw is positioned at the target injection-end position or a screw-moving position which slightly exceeds the target position by a permissible distance, to thereby actually control an amount of shot.
