    摘要: Herein disclosed are a method for preparing an aqueous developer dispersion which comprises the steps of dissolving, in an organic solvent, a developer which comprises a nuclear-substituted salicylic acid salt represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having not more than 15 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group, a phenyl group, a nuclear-substituted phenyl group, an aralkyl group or a nculear-substituted aralkyl group, or two adjacent groups selected from R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 may be bonded together to form a ring; n is an integer of not less than 1; and M represents magnesium, calcium, zinc, aluminum, iron, cobalt, nickel or a basic ion thereof; emulsifying and dispersing the resulting solution in an aqueous solution of an acrylamide copolymer having a degree of polymerization of not less than 100 obtained by copolymerizing 96 to 70 mole % of acrylamide with 4 to 30 mole % of an alkyl or alkoxyalkyl, having not more than 4 carbon atoms, ester of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid or maleic acid; then heating the emulsified dispersion to remove the organic solvent by distillation; and optionally finely wet-pulverizing the resulting aqueous dispersion to an extent that reduction in the average particle size of the developer dispersed in the dispersion does not exceed 10%; as well as pressure-sensitive recording paper obtained using the aqueous developer dispersion. The recording paper is substantially improved in the developing density, developing velocity and printability.

    摘要: An aqueous dispersion of a developer for pressure-sensitive recording sheet, having superior handling performance and storage stability in a high concentration and a process for producing the dispersion are provided, which developer is expressed by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be the same or different and represent H, halogen, alkyl of 1 to 9 carbon atoms, alkylene, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylene, phenyl, nucleus-substituted phenyl, aralkyl or nucleus-aralkyl; adjacent two of R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 may form a ring; n is an integer of one or more; and M is Mg, Ca, Zn, Al, Fe, Co, Ni or a basic ion of the foregoing, and which developer has a softening point of 30.degree. C. or higher and is dispersed in water, containing a dispersing agent, the size of particles of the developer being 0.3 to 5.mu. in terms of average particle diameter, and the proportion of right spherical particles in the total particles being 50% or more; and which process comprises emulsifying-dispersing the developer in water containing a dispersing agent at a temperature higher by at least 30.degree. C. than the softening point of the developer, follower by cooling, or dissolving the developer in an organic solvent, emulsifying-dispersing the solution in water containing a dispersing agent and distilling off the solvent from the dispersion on heating, or using a polyvinyl alcohol having a polymerization degree of 500 or more and a saponification degree of 70% or more.

    摘要: Disclosed is a pressure sensitive manifold paper prepared by coating a substrate with a coating composition containing microcapsules of polyurethane resin or polyurea resin wall film and drying the resulting coating, the pressure sensitive manifold paper being characterized in that a latex of copolymer of comonomers comprising about 10 to about 50% by weight of styrene, about 15 to about 55% by weight of butadiene, about 10 to about 40% by weight of methyl methacrylate and up to about 15% by weight of acrylonitrile is incorporated in the coating composition in an amount of about 5 to about 30% by weight (calculated as solids) based on the microcapsules (calculated as solids).The pressure sensitive manifold paper has an adequate balance between the color forming ability and susceptibility to color smudges due to contact or friction.
