摘要:
A linear bolt mechanism for a gun is provided, wherein a bolt moves between a firing position and an open position through linear motion, without requiring rotation of the bolt. The bolt includes a seating socket which engages a locking pin to permit travel of the bolt upon disposing the locking pin in a traveling position. The seating socket also engages the locking pin when the locking pin engages the locking socket, thereby precluding movement of the bolt with the locking pin in the locking position.

A defibrillator having a pair of electrodes for delivering an artifact-compensated defibrillation shock and a method thereof is provided. Electrocardiographic (ECG) data representative of an ECG signal is acquired for the patient and the ECG data is analyzed to determine whether administration of a defibrillating shock is appropriate. A cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) interval is initiated subsequent to the acquisition of ECG data. Upon completion of the CPR interval, and if administration of a defibrillating shock is determined to be appropriate from the ECG data, arming the AED for delivery of the defibrillation shock to the patient.
摘要:
The present invention provides systems and methods for managing intake of a pharmacological agent. In one method of the present invention, the systems and methods are for controlling intake of an anti-epileptic drug. In such embodiments, one or more signals from a patient are processed to predict an onset of a seizure. Upon the prediction of the seizure, the patient is allowed to access the pharmacological agent in a pharmacological agent dispenser.
摘要:
A defibrillator having a pair of electrodes for delivering a defibrillation shock and a method thereof is provided. The defibrillator includes an energy-source circuit that may be discharged through electrodes on a patient to provide a biphasic voltage or current pulse. The energy-source-storage circuit is coupled across a bridge switch for delivering a defibrillation pulse to the patient through a pair of electrodes. A controller operates to control the entire defibrillation process and detects shockable rhythms from the patient via an ECG front end. The controller determines the source of the defibrillator to match the selected mode, which is inputted by connecting coded accessories, such as internal paddles, adult electrodes, or pediatric external electrodes to deliver appropriate defibrillation shocks. Other types of patient-dependent parameters are also employed to achieve the impedance compensation.
