Abstract:
A method of screening a compound which modulates dipeptidyl peptidase I (DPPI) activities comprises the steps of adding a peptide substrate of DPPI to a reaction mixture which comprises DPPI and a compound, wherein the peptide substrate of DPPI has at least 3 amino acids and binds to a binding site of DPPI in addition to the S1-S2 site; and measuring the molecular weight of the substrate, wherein a change in the molecular weight of the substrate is indicative of the presence of DPPI activity.

Abstract:
A weapon ball-and-socket-based weapon mounting system for removably attaching a to the body of a user. A ball stock adapted to be attached to a weapon at one end and configured with a substantially ball-shaped ball element on the other end replaced the conventional weapon butt stock. The ball stock mates with a body-supported socket adapted to receive the ball element by clicking in to the socket. The user is able to articulate the weapon into a rest position as well as rotating it through a full range of elevation and sweeping orientations.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to compounds of formula (I): wherein R1, R2 and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, aryl and heteroaryl and X1 and X2 are independently a bond or an linker group of 1 to 6 atoms and may be optional substituted or oxidized, or a prodrug, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or a pharmaceutically active metabolite thereof. The invention is also directed to methods of using the same for treating HIV infections, or AIDs or preventing viral replication.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to carbamate derivatives having RNase H, polymerase and/or HIV reverse transcriptase modulatory, and particularly, inhibitory activity. Included in the invention are the carbamate derivatives, compositions containing the derivatives, methods of synthesis of the derivatives, screening methods to identify the derivatives, and methods of treatment using the carbamate derivatives, including the treatment of HIV, AIDS and retrovirus-associated cancer.
Abstract:
An adhesive system for use in minimizing the negative environmental influences on a fiber optic gyroscope comprises a free-standing substantially cylindrical sensing coil 12 having an inner coil surface, a rigid substantially cylindrical coil-supporting structure or hub 10 having a cylindrical wall and an outer surface, a plurality of grooves 16 formed into the hub's outer surface, a plurality of slots 24 formed into the outer surface of hub 10 and an adhesive 14 affixing hub 10 to coil 12. Adhesive 14 may be injected into manifolds 18 located in the cylindrical wall of hub 10, travel through the slots 24 into a gap existing between coil 12 and hub 10. Excess adhesive 14 may flow into grooves 16. Different orientations and sizes of grooves 16 and slots 24, different types and amounts of adhesive 14, and different thicknesses of adhesive between the coil 12 and hub 10 may be used to achieve suitable adhesion. The adhesive system may further include a stress buffer 22 and an additional adhesive 20 to further minimize environmental influences on coil 12. Specifically, a first adhesive 14 affixes the inner surface of buffer 22 to the outer surface of hub 10. A second adhesive 20 affixes the outer surface of buffer 22 to the inner surface of coil 12.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are presented for facilitating entertainment media listings using unique user identifiers. In some embodiments, a computer-implemented method is presented. The method may include accessing a unique user identifier of a user, the unique user identifier associated with at least one form of entertainment media, the unique user identifier including a user history of at least one form of the entertainment media accessed by the user. The method may also include transmitting first information for displaying an offer to conduct a consumer transaction of a product associated with the at least one form of entertainment media, wherein displaying the offer is based on the user history within the accessed unique user identifier.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus for providing assistance to a user of a mobile application are described. A request for assistance from the user is detected and a request is issued to a remote device for establishment of a remote assistance session. Information describing a state of the mobile device is periodically transmitted to the remote device and one or more commands may be received from the remote device. The commands may be executed on the mobile device.
