摘要： The invention relates to an anti-theft device primarily for securing articles of goods. In the preferred embodiment, a main housing of the device is secured to an article by way of a cable having two ends, whereby each end is inserted into the housing to form a loop around the article. Each end of the cable is secured to the housing by internally disposed locking nuts which allow the insertion of the end into the main housing, but prevent its removal. The device does not include a key or unlocking mechanism. A user must unscrew or cut the security device off the article once it is applied.

摘要： An apparatus and method for protecting merchandise items is presented. In the preferred embodiment, a merchandise protection device includes first and second portions. An EAS tag is contained in the first or second portion. The first and second portions are connected together to form a head at a first end of the merchandise protection device and a base at the other end of the merchandise protection device. An opening is formed between the head and the base. The head is placed in a first recess of a merchandise item to be protected and the base is placed in a second recess of the merchandise item to be protected. The opening is configured to receive a portion of the merchandise item between the first recess and second recess.

摘要： A security device is provided herein, the security device being structured for secure attachment to an object. The security device which comprises a housing, locking assembly, and cable, may also carry an alarm system for increased security. The locking assembly locks the cable at a desired length to secure an object. In one embodiment, a ratchet mechanism uses a spool that collects the cable when the ratchet is rotated, such that the cable tightens around the object to secure it. The ratchet mechanism, even when locked, still allows the cable to be tightened. In other embodiments of the security device a slide grip or pressing feature can be moved or pushed to engage a clamp feature, thereby pinching the cable in place. The cable may be comprised of two separate cables combined with sheathing for increased protection and insulation.

摘要： A catheter integral with a valved needle-free connector provides a safety catheter device configured to receive a blunt cannula and sharp needle forming an insertion mechanism. The sharp needle is mounted within a needle tube and a control handle is used to slide the sharp needle out of and into the protective needle tube. When the insertion mechanism is mounted to the connector and the control handle is used to slide the sharp needle out of the tube, a blunt cannula first moves into contact with and enters the bore of the valve mechanism of the connector opening it and protecting it from damage that may be caused by the sharp needle. The sharp needle is then extended through the connector and extends out the distal end of the catheter so that a venipuncture procedure may be performed to properly locate the catheter in the patient's circulatory system. Once located, the needle may be retracted into the insertion mechanism, the insertion mechanism disconnected from the connector, and discarded.

摘要： The tape measure may consist of a relatively large tape blade. To accommodate a large blade the tape measure housing is formed as a hollow annulus having an open central core where the blade is wound about the core of the annular housing. Because the housing has a central opening it can be easily carried in one hand. The device also includes a locking mechanism for locking the tape in an extended position and a rewind mechanism for rewinding the tape back into the housing. The rewind mechanism may comprise a belt drive, opposed springs with a cam lock, a linear spring compressed by a gear drive, a motor driven gear drive, a flat spring and gear drive or a magnetic drive.
