Abstract:
An illuminated strap apparatus for the strap of a backpack, shoulder-bag, satchel, or other similar shoulder-mounted bag is described. The illuminated strap apparatus employs at least one LED strip which is preferably powered by a rechargeable battery. The illuminated strap apparatus is configured to be integrated into conventional backpacks and bags, as well as into proprietary backpacks which are pre-equipped with a clear plastic sleeve lining the entirety of the straps of the backpack or other similar shoulder bag. The illuminated strap apparatus includes wireless remote control configured to interface with a controller of the illuminated strap apparatus, and provide illumination options to the user such as flashing frequency, brightness, fade, and color.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device (100) contains a local wireless controller (114) for operating with a remote audio processor (124). The remote audio processor is used for listening to and speaking with remote parties via the mobile communication device, and operates in a mode having a relatively long latency in communicating with the mobile communication device. Upon receiving a dispatch call (306), a baseband processor (108) of the mobile communication device notifies an application processor (110) with a high priority dispatch notification (122). The high priority dispatch notification causes an active link to be established between the mobile communication device and remote audio processor sooner than if were to occur with ordinary call processing.
Abstract:
An electric, rechargeable and retractable lighter is disclosed. The lighter is specially equipped with an extending heating element configured to competently and expediently light tobacco, cannabis, or other packed bowls from pipes and water-pipes. The electric lighter includes a casing having a top portion and a bottom portion, and containing at least one rechargeable battery and a circuit board. The circuit board is in communication with an electric heating element configured to extend out from within the casing, and down into the bowl of the pipe. The distal end of the casing is equipped with a retractable male USB connection to charge the battery from any female USB port. A bi-directional sliding switch mechanism is disposed within the casing to facilitate activation of the electric heating element, the extension of the electric heating element, and/or the extension of the male USB connection for charging.
