Abstract:
An electric cigar lighter for lighting a cigar having an electrical power supply with positive and negative terminals attachable to a tubular body, the battery disposed in the body, and a resistor plate connected to the electrical power supply, the resistor plate defining a plurality of parallel circuits connected in series with one another.
Abstract:
Portable Charcoal Starting Grill (FIG. 4) has a built in replaceable/interchangeable heating element in the grate (FIG. 3) that is used to start the charcoal briquettes. Electric current to power the electric heating element (FIG. 2) comes from an interchangeable/rechargeable battery (FIG. 5) that is built on the side railing 12 of the grill (FIG. 4). Predetermined configuration of the heating element will start the charcoal briquettes on fire in a more uniform evenly manner.
Abstract:
An electric, rechargeable and retractable lighter is disclosed. The lighter is specially equipped with an extending heating element configured to competently and expediently light tobacco, cannabis, or other packed bowls from pipes and water-pipes. The electric lighter includes a casing having a top portion and a bottom portion, and containing at least one rechargeable battery and a circuit board. The circuit board is in communication with an electric heating element configured to extend out from within the casing, and down into the bowl of the pipe. The distal end of the casing is equipped with a retractable male USB connection to charge the battery from any female USB port. A bi-directional sliding switch mechanism is disposed within the casing to facilitate activation of the electric heating element, the extension of the electric heating element, and/or the extension of the male USB connection for charging.
Abstract:
A portable exothermic welding ignition controller includes a housing configured to receive a portion of a portable power tool battery. A circuit board is positioned within the housing and configured for electrical coupling to the portable power tool battery. An actuator is operatively engageable with the circuit board for selectively discharging power from the portable power tool battery to a connection terminal electrically coupled to the circuit board.
Abstract:
A combination electric lighter and portable vaporization device that functions as a dual purpose apparatus permitting a user to carry a portable vaporization apparatus that additionally functions as an electric lighter. The apparatus includes an integrated electrical source and a versatile heating element. The apparatus allows the user to ignite a plurality of smoking products but provides the option of vaporize the smoking products through the use of a vaporization device. The vaporization device can heat vaporizable material against the versatile electrically powered heating element in a manner that prevents ignition. The versatile heating element can function as a lighter, without requiring extensive configuration to light a smoking product. The apparatus is rechargeable. The component arrangement of the apparatus allows it to function as a portable electrical ignition device that can be utilized as a general purpose ignition device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sheet like resistance heating element for a battery powered lighter. The heating element includes a first terminal for connecting the heating element to a first contact of an electrical circuit and a second terminal for connecting the heating element to a second contact of the electrical circuit. The heating element further includes a heat generating body arranged between the first terminal and the second terminal, the heat generating body providing an electrical current path between the first terminal and the second terminal, wherein the heat generating body comprises a planar contact surface along the path, whereby a width of said contact surface in the plane is substantially greater then a thickness of the heat generating body.
Abstract:
A pocket size electric lighter having a heating element made of nichrome which has been seated firmly in a material of low thermal conductivity while having a thin top coating of thermally conductive material. Power to the heating element is provided via rechargeable battery. A small charging port provides a means to recharge the battery as necessary.
Abstract:
A battery powered cigarette lighter having a switch which is activated by a change in air pressure or air flow is described. The change in air pressure or air flow, which is caused by the consumer forcing air through the air permeable cigarette, causes the switch to close thereby allowing the lighter's direct current power supply to increase the temperature of the lighter's heating element above the cigarette's ignition point.
Abstract:
A thin battery powered lighter, which has superior portability and usable as an advertising medium, is provided. The lighter includes a thin flat case (2); a sheet type battery (3) provided within the case (2); a heating element (4) connected to the battery (3); and a power switch (5) for establishing an electrical connection between the battery (3) and the heating element (4). The case (2) includes a slide member (6) for opening and closing an ignition window (21), which is provided at a position that the heating element faces (4), and an operating button (51) for operating the power switch (5). When the ignition window (21) is closed by the slide member (6), a portion of the slide member is interposed between contact points of the switch, precluding an operation of the operating button (51). The electrical connection is enabled by operating the operating button (51) in a state in which the ignition window (21) is open.
