Abstract:
An battery-operated ignition smoking pipe including a replaceable nichrome wire within an indentation on an inner perimeter of a bowl of the pipe body, a fuel reservoir directly below and adjacent the interior cavity of the bowl, an ignition switch on a stem of a pipe body to selectively activate one of the nichrome wire and an amount of fuel within the fuel reservoir to combust an ignitable smoking substance, such as tobacco, contained within the bowl, and a filter disposed between the stem and the bowl. The present device permits one-handed ignition to combust the smoking substance.
Abstract:
An electric cigar lighter for lighting a cigar having an electrical power supply with positive and negative terminals attachable to a tubular body, the battery disposed in the body, and a resistor plate connected to the electrical power supply, the resistor plate defining a plurality of parallel circuits connected in series with one another.
Abstract:
An electric, rechargeable and retractable lighter is disclosed. The lighter is specially equipped with an extending heating element configured to competently and expediently light tobacco, cannabis, or other packed bowls from pipes and water-pipes. The electric lighter includes a casing having a top portion and a bottom portion, and containing at least one rechargeable battery and a circuit board. The circuit board is in communication with an electric heating element configured to extend out from within the casing, and down into the bowl of the pipe. The distal end of the casing is equipped with a retractable male USB connection to charge the battery from any female USB port. A bi-directional sliding switch mechanism is disposed within the casing to facilitate activation of the electric heating element, the extension of the electric heating element, and/or the extension of the male USB connection for charging.
Abstract:
A portable electric cigarette pocket cigarette lighter has a pair of mating housing halves of plastic defining a hollow parallelpiped housing in which is disposed a pair of AA penlight batteries in side-by-side relation and electrically connected through a normally open switch to a spiral electric heating element of Nichrome positioned in the housing in axial alignment with an opening in the housing front wall of size sufficient just to admit the leading end of a cigarette therethrough into contact with the heating element. A plurality of peg members disposed on the housing halves position a plurality of sheet metal conductors which electrically connect the battery, heating element and switch in a series circuit completed by manual closure of the switch to energize the heating element to light the inserted cigarette. The switch includes contacts integrally formed with a pair of the conductors and operated by an actuator pivotally mounted on one of the peg members in an aperture in the front wall of the housing below the cigarette admission hole and biased to its open position by a torsion spring on the same peg member. The recessed positioning of the heating element inhibits intentional setting of fires.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an ignition device for tobacco associated items such as cigars and cigarettes which is activated by a battery and only upon activation of a switch which connects the heating grid for the tobacco item and the battery which provides the necessary electrical power to cause the ignition. The device is protected from the accidental activation of the heating element due to the presence of moisture.
Abstract:
A portable exothermic welding ignition controller includes a housing configured to receive a first portion of a portable power tool battery with a second portion of the portable tool battery external to the housing. A circuit board is positioned within the housing and configured for electrical coupling to the portable power tool battery. An actuator is operatively engageable with the circuit board for selectively discharging power from the portable power tool battery to a connection terminal electrically coupled to the circuit board.
Abstract:
A lighter case is provided. The lighter case may have a main body forming a clamshell shaped to receive a cigarette lighter. The lighter case may have a grinding apparatus on a portion of the main body or slidable relative to the main body and configured to disaggregate a smoking material. The lighter case may collect the disaggregated smoking material and may guide the disaggregated smoking material into a receptacle such as by scooping or via a piston. In this manner, the smoking material may be prepared.
