    摘要: The present disclosure relates to an oral electrolyte solution comprising lactoferrin. Lactoferrin may promote intestinal healing during a bout of diarrhea in a pediatric subject, thereby reducing the duration of diarrhea symptoms. Additionally, the oral electrolyte solutions disclosed herein may comprise Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, vitamin B3 and/or a source of zinc. The disclosure further relates to methods of reducing the duration of diarrhea symptoms and reducing gastrointestinal irritation in a pediatric subject by providing an oral electrolyte solution comprising lactoferrin.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a nutritional composition, such as a preterm infant formula that includes a protein source comprising whey protein and hydrolyzed casein protein. The whey protein to hydrolyzed casein ratio may be from about 90:10 to about 50:50 by weight. The hydrolyzed casein may have a degree of hydrolysis of from about 20% to about 80%. Additionally, provided are methods for improved gastric emptying and improved digestibility in a target subject, such as a preterm infant. When administered, the nutritional compositions may promote intestinal transit and absorptive capacity. Consequently, better growth and development, especially neurological development of the target subject may be achieved.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides nutritional compositions comprising docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA). The nutritional compositions may comprise an emulsion of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA), and are suitable for enteral delivery as a nutritional supplement or for oral delivery as a human milk or infant formula fortifier. Additionally, the present disclosure provides methods for delivering nutrients to subjects requiring small-volume nutritional support, such as preterm infants. The nutritional compositions are useful, for example, in correcting nutritional deficiencies by increasing a subject's intake of nutrients, such as ω-3 or ω-6 long-chain polyunsaturated acids.
