Abstract: Systems and methods for ultra-wideband (UWB) in-band discovery may include a first UWB device which determines an availability for associations with potential controlees, and which generates and transmits an application control (AC) information element (IE) indicating the availability. A second UWB device may receive the AC IE, select an available slot for transmitting an association request to the first UWB device, and transmit the association request in the available slot. The first UWB device may receive the association request, generate an association response, and transmit the association response to the second UWB device.
