摘要: The systems and methods described herein provide techniques for improving asset download time using forward error correction to recover lost packets or data. In various implementations, a sending device may be configured to encode redundant data in a data stream that enables a receiving device to reconstruct the data in the file if a portion of the data is not received. The redundant data may be based on single parity, in which the redundant data is generated using XOR (similar to the RAID-5 encoding methods), or the redundant data may be based on dual parity, in which the redundant data is generated using Galois fields (similar to the RAID-6 encoding methods). In some embodiments, the redundant data may be transmitted in separate packets. In other embodiments, the redundant data may be included as part of the data stream.

摘要: A radio communication link is established between first and second nodes in a cellular network, which comprise at least channel coding and decoding of first and second Physical (PHY) layers and first and second Medium Access Control (MAC) sublayers.
User data is transmitted from the first node to the second node while applying a PHY Forward Error Correction (FEC) algorithm in transmission for coding and in reception for decoding by the first and second PHY layers.
A value of a PHY-FEC error metric is computed with respect to errors in the user data received by the second node that are uncorrected by the PHY FEC algorithm.
The received user data including the uncorrected errors is transferred from the second PHY layer to the second MAC sublayer, subject to the value of the PHY-FEC error metric being less than a threshold used by an error tolerance procedure.

摘要: A device may receive a PDCCH signal, may decode encoded bits of the PDCCH signal to generate coded bits, may reencode the coded bits, and may calculate a detection error probability of each coded bit at an output of soft demodulation. The device may calculate a channel decoding error probability that cyclic redundancy check bits are still attached to the coded bits, and may calculate an error probability of channel reencoding, of each coded bit, due to error propagation of polar decoding and reencoding. The device may calculate a probability density of a BMR associated with the coded bits, and may calculate a threshold based on the detection error probability, the channel decoding error probability, the error probability of channel reencoding, and the probability density of a BMR. The device may determine that the PDCCH signal is invalid based on the BMR being greater than the threshold.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication to a network entity that the UE is capable of decoding Reed-Solomon codes and that the UE is capable of performing near maximal likelihood demodulation. The network entity may transmit a message indicating that a Reed-Solomon code is applied to one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the indication. The network entity may apply Reed-Solomon coding to a signal of the one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the message. The UE may apply near maximal likelihood demodulation and Reed-Solomon decoding to a received signal of the one or more scheduled signals based at least in part on the message.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to differentiate random access response types, such that a user equipment (UE) may identify a random access response for the UE. A UE may transmit a random access message that may be associated with a first type of random access response. The base station may be configured to communicate different types of random access responses, and may configure a random access response and an associated downlink control signal to correspond to the first type of random access response. The base station may transmit the downlink control signal to the UE by configuring different demodulation reference signals, different group identifiers, different search spaces or control resource sets, or different downlink control information. The UE may determine that the random access response is of the first type and may receive the random access response based on the decoded downlink control signal.
