    摘要: An electrical switchgear comprises a front, a back and a switch arrangement. The switch arrangement comprises a terminal arrangement comprising an electrical contact for a bus and an electrical contact for a load connection which are spaced apart along an axial direction; and a device that is driveable into said terminal arrangement to a service position to make an electrical connection between said electrical contact for said load connection and said electrical connection for said bus. The electrical contact for said load connection is located closer to said back of said switchgear than is said electrical contact for said bus.

    摘要: A support assembly is provided for an electrical enclosure including a housing having first and second opposing sides, electrical bus members, and at least one electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. Each of the electrical bus members is electrically connectable to a corresponding one of the circuit breakers. The support assembly includes at least one support member having first and second opposing ends, first and second opposing edges, and a plurality of apertures extending from the first edge toward the second edge and receiving the electrical bus members. A fastener assembly supports the support member(s) between the first and second sides of the housing. Each support member extends only a portion of the width between the first and second sides of the housing, and supports the electrical bus members, without being attached to the housing at a location between the first and second sides thereof.

    摘要: An electrical bus assembly for an electrical enclosure includes a single branch circuit with a plurality of branch circuit buses. First electrical bus members include first ends electrically connected to corresponding branch circuit buses, and second ends electrically connected to a first circuit breaker. Second electrical bus members include first ends electrically connected to corresponding branch circuit buses, and second ends electrically connected to a second circuit breaker. The single branch circuit provides electrical power to the first and second circuit breakers. The first electrical bus members extend in a first lateral direction with respect to the branch circuit buses, and the second electrical bus members extend in a second, opposite lateral direction. The electrical bus assembly enables the first circuit breaker to be disposed horizontally adjacent to the second circuit breaker within a corresponding one of the cells of the electrical enclosure.

    摘要: An arc hood includes a housing having a first chamber with two ends, a top and a bottom having an opening, and a smaller second chamber disposed on the top of the first chamber. The smaller second chamber includes two ends, a top and a bottom. Each of the ends of the second chamber have an opening, are disposed above the top of the first chamber, and are recessed from a corresponding one of the ends of the first chamber. The chambers define a passageway between the opening of the bottom of the first chamber and the openings of the ends of the second chamber. One or more baffles are within the housing and are disposed between the opening of the bottom of the first chamber and the openings of the ends of the second chamber. A seal is disposed about the opening of the bottom of the first chamber.

The circuit breaker includes a protruding nose portion that is engaged by the first and second seal members in a manner that sealingly engages the nose portion. The arrangement of the first and second seal members and the nose portion provides for the sealing engagement to be maintained when the circuit breaker is moved from a first position in which the circuit breaker is not electrically connected to the number of conductors and a second position in which the circuit breaker is electrically connected to the number of conductors.
