摘要： Methods, apparatuses, systems, and media to perform operations on filtered components of documents are disclosed. Embodiments comprise a method of performing an operation on selected components of an electronic document using at least one criterion to filter selected parts from other parts of the electronic document. In some embodiments, the method includes analyzing the electronic document to generate the filtering criteria. One embodiment includes presenting a list of filtering criteria to a user, whereupon the user may choose one or more criteria. Other variations of embodiments generally include apparatuses, systems and media that allow a user to choose specific text fonts, text styles, text entry dates, and text entry authors as filtering criteria, for such operations as spell checking, grammar checking, printing, and copying the document components, or text.

摘要： A method, system and computer program product for enhancing a phone device such as a cell phone by automatically linking/associating caller identifying information with voicemail notification so that the phone's user (callee) receives notification of which missed call(s) generated a voicemail/SMS notification. The voicemail notification displays a notification identification (NID) associated with the particular caller number that generated the voicemail, and each voicemail displayed via the associated NID on the phone's display when the user selects the voicemail. Also, voicemail notification (icon or check mark) is added to the missed call log and displayed next to the missed call number that generated a voicemail. Additionally, granular user-directed access to voicemail is provided whereby the user of the phone device accesses the voicemail from the missed call (or received call) log and is able to listen to a specific voicemail left by a selected one of the listed missed calls/callee.

摘要： A method for an email voice reader capable of adapting gender and emotions of a sender, the method comprising: sending email data by the sender via a directory service, the directory service storing a plurality of attributes of the email data, the plurality of attributes being pre-selected by the sender; receiving the email data by a recipient; enabling the recipient to listen to the email data via the email voice reader, the email data including the plurality of attributes pre-selected by the sender and stored at the directory service; and automatically identifying the gender of the sender by allowing the sender to specify and add a first attribute to the plurality of attributes stored at the directory service, wherein the email voice reader of the recipient automatically recognizes whether to apply a male voice or a female voice based on the added first attribute.

摘要： A system and method for synchronizing distributed data streams for automating real-time navigation through presentation slides in an electronic conference are provided. With the system and method, a participant in an electronic conference is permitted to navigate back and forth through a series of presentation slides while being able to automatically synchronize the participant's display to a current position within the series of presentation slides regardless of which slide the participant's computer is currently displaying. The present invention provides a background mechanism for monitoring the current live presentation by a presenter during an electronic conference while a participant navigates through a local copy of the presentation slides. Upon the selection of a synchronization option, the participant's display output of the presentation slides is synchronized with the current live presentation using the background mechanism.

An additional layer of security for protecting data and to minimize successful attacks by malicious programs is provided. This additional layer uses the feature of code signing to verify that the code is from a source which the code claims to be from, and also that the code has not been tampered with by a malicious party. The file system provides a feature by which certificates are mapped to portions of a file system, e.g., files/directories, such that only programs that are certified by those certificates are able to read/modify those portions of the file system.
