The antifoam composition comprises a selected alkylaminosilicone, finely divided filler particles and a hydrocarbon carrier oil. Optional ingredients include oil/water surfactants and silicone oils. The alkylaminosilicone reduces the surface tension of the hydrocarbon oil and renders the formulation self-hydrophobing.

    摘要: An aqueous hair treatment composition is provided that includes a water-soluble polymer having a solution viscosity at 10% in water of less than about 20,000 cps at 25.degree. C., and a latex of water-insoluble polymeric particles dispersed in water and having a glass transition temperature between 250 and 300.degree. K., the average particle size being no higher than about 3 microns. Preferably the latex particles are formed from respective monomers by emulsion polymerization.

    摘要: A composition and method for controlling tartar formation in the mouth is reported based upon phosphorylated polyhydroxy substances. These substances are formed by phosphorylation of a polyhydroxy starting compound of molecular weight no higher than 5000, have a molar substitution of at least 2 based on molecular weight of an average repeat unit in the starting polyhydroxy compound and possess phosphate ester linkages satisfying at least one criteria selected from:(a) at least one multi-substituted phosphate ester linked through an oxygen atom to a single carbon of the polyhydroxy compound; and(b) at least two monophosphate groups separated by no more than three carbon atoms.

    摘要: The invention concerns detergent compositions comprising a special type of oxidation resistant nonionic surfactant and an oxidizing agent which may either be a hypochlorite or a peroxygen material. The surfactant component structurally comprises a C.sub.8 -C.sub.12 alkyl substituted phenoxy hydrophobe alkoxylated with ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide, with the proviso that the ratio of ethylene oxide to propylene oxide is at least 1 but no higher than 10. Methyl or chloroethyl groups are used to endcap the surfactant.

    摘要: Surface discoloration of water-in-oil emulsion type food spreads such as margarines can be reduced by incorporating into the fat or water phase of the spread a substance which makes the optical properties of the spread, when dehydrated, comparable to the optical properties of a freshly prepared spread. Titanium dioxide may be used for this purpose at levels as low as 0.1% by weight of the spread.
