摘要： A locking assembly for locking a multi-sided nut-like member in a desired communicating relationship with a valve body. The locking assembly includes a lock plate having a planar body portion with a locking opening defined by a plurality of sides oriented relative to each other in a closed, star-like configuration. The locking opening is adapted to be closely received over and communicate with the sides of an associated nut-like member. The body portion also includes an arcuate mounting slot spaced from the locking opening and which is adapted to receive a lock plate mounting fastener therethrough. A continuous side wall or skirt portion depends from the periphery of the body portion and serves to space the body portion from the surface of an associated valve body. Preferably, a lock plate adapter is also provided. The adapter includes a body member having a through opening which is received over a section of the associated nut-like member, and a securing member cooperable with the lock plate mounting slot. The lock plate adapter also includes a mounting portion adapted for disposition in contacting relation with the associated valve body.

摘要： A metering valve for selectively regulating fluid flow between inlet and outlet passages. The metering valve includes threadedly interconnected bonnet and valve stem members received in a valve chamber with the stem being selectively movable axially relative to a valve seat. A seat insert is interposed between the bonnet member and valve seat for sealing cooperation with the valve stem. The seat insert includes an annular base portion having an aperture extending therethrough for communication with the inlet passage. Leg portions extend axially outward from the base portion at peripherally spaced apart intervals for abutting engagement with the bonnet member. The leg portions are disposed radially inward from an outer periphery of the base portion, and each leg portion has a predetermined peripheral width dimension less than the cross-sectional dimension of the outlet passage for allowing fluid flow therearound in all orientations of the insert in the valve chamber.

摘要： A mounting bracket for securing a manifold valve to a support pipe is provided wherein plural support members extend outwardly from one leg of the bracket. The support members are designed to accommodate various manifold conformations, selective use of a steam block, and use of the same size mounting bolts. The mounting bracket is adaptable to securing on both horizontal and vertical support pipes through the use of a pair of U-bolts cooperating with four symmetrically spaced apertures. The mounting bracket facilitates installation of a differential pressure cell to an associated valve manifold independently from initial assembly of the manifold to the mounting bracket and connection of fluid system piping to the manifold.

摘要： A plug-type, rising stem needle or shut-off valve for controlling fluid flow comprises a valve housing forming a valve chamber with inlet and outlet ports connecting therewith. A bonnet member with a cylindrical passage joins with the valve chamber and opens to the exterior of the valve. A plug valve element is mounted in the chamber and adapted to be moved by an operating stem axially movable within the cylindrical passage. The stem includes a radially extending guide flange. For sealing about the operating stem and limiting the axial outwardly movement of the stem there is an assembly which includes a wall surface that defines a conical chamber at the outer end of the cylindrical passage. The conical chamber tapers from a large diameter at the axial outer end to a smaller diameter at the axial inner end. At the axial inner end of the conical chamber is a cylindrical counterbore carrying a stop ring which forms a radial shoulder for engaging the flange on the stem at a predetermined outer limit position. The stop ring has an axial outer end surface that defines a continuation of the conical chamber. A sealing ferrule is positioned in the conical chamber. The ferrule has a continuous radial outer surface which sealingly engages both the wall surface which defines the conical chamber and the axial outer end surface of the stop ring.

摘要： A dual position handle and cam stop assembly is provided which is adapted for limiting rotational movement of an associated valve sealing element such as a ball for a ball valve. However, the assembly is applicable to other types of valves such as butterfly and plug valves. The assembly comprises a cam disc and a valve handle having associated first and second handle stop and direction indicators. The indicators are disposed relative to the cam disc for engagement against the disc at first and second handle stop limit locations, respectively. The locations are selectively positionable by rotation of the cam disc while maintaining a constant relative angular spacing for limiting the rotational movement of the valve handle to the constant relative angular spacing. The cam disc has a cardioid-like contour about its peripheral wall for a constant angular displacement of the stop limit locations per a unit degree of cam rotation. The handle stop and direction indicators preferably comprise a symmetrical flat-faced cam follower.

摘要： A ball valve is disclosed having an improved seat ring particularly adapted for sealing a ball member in an end-loaded or top-loaded valve body. The ball is mounted for selective rotation and limited axial movement in a valve body passageway. The seat rings are disposed on diametrically opposite sides of the ball about valve inlet and outlet openings. Frusto-conical disc springs interposed between each seat ring and an associated valve body shoulder urge the seat rings into engagement with the ball. A rigid reinforcing ring is disposed intermediate of the flexible seat ring for integral movement with the seat ring and for reinforcing the seat ring against collapse under pressure. The reinforcing ring is received in an annular channel about the periphery of the seat ring and preferably comprises a split metal ring in a stressed and expanded condition.

摘要： A ferrule type, flareless fitting is provided that may optionally be pulled-up to its assembled condition by torque rather than by turns. In one embodiment, at least one fitting component includes a structure that facilitates pull-up by torque and allows the fitting to be remade. The structure may take a wide variety of different forms. Examples of fitting component structures that facilitate pull-up by torque and allow the fitting to be remade include, but are not limited to, deformable or compressible devices or structures that are configured to increase the torque required to further tighten the fitting components when the fitting is properly pulled up, resiliently deformable structures that bias a tube gripping device into engagement with a conduit when the fitting is remade to an initial pull-up position, and plastically deformable retaining structures that maintain a tube gripping device in sealing en a ement with a conduit when a fittin is disassembled.
