摘要： An absorbent article includes a liquid pervious liner, a liquid impervious back sheet, and an absorbent composite located between the liner and the back sheet. The absorbent composite includes a first sheet, a second sheet, and a unitary absorbent core. The unitary absorbent core has a plurality of holes there through, wherein each hole has an area less than 200 mm2. The unitary absorbent core has a uniform density and is positioned between the first sheet and the second sheet. The first sheet is directly joined with the second sheet at a plurality of bond points. The bond points are located within the holes and are substantially devoid of absorbent material.

摘要： A method for forming and stabilizing an absorbent composite web includes conforming a first web onto a forming surface having a plurality of raised nubs having upper surfaces. The first web defines a plurality of bond areas corresponding to those portions of the first web overlying the upper surfaces of the nubs. The method further includes depositing absorbent material onto the first web to form a unitary absorbent core having a plurality of holes therein. The method further includes joining a second web to the first web at the bond areas to form an absorbent composite web. The unitary absorbent core is positioned between the first web and the second web. The first web and the second web are bonded together through the holes in the absorbent core. The method further includes removing the absorbent composite web from the forming surface.

摘要： Apparatus for making a reinforced absorbent member includes a forming chamber adapted to contain a fluent fibrous material. A forming surface is moveable within the forming chamber along an arcuate path generally from an entrance of the forming chamber to an exit thereof. The forming surface is adapted to collect fibrous material thereon to form the absorbent member. A source of reinforcing web is disposed generally exterior of the forming chamber. The forming chamber has an opening through which the reinforcing web is received into the forming chamber for subsequent conveyance within the forming chamber toward the forming surface. The opening is disposed downstream of the forming chamber entrance generally in the direction of movement of the forming surface along the path.

摘要： An apparatus for forming a shaped fibrous nonwoven structure including a delivery system adapted to provide a high speed composite stream comprising thermoplastic polymer fibers and a secondary material. The apparatus also includes a movable collection device having a collection surface which intersects the composite stream, and at least one deflector to mechanically redirect at least a portion of the composite stream. Further the deflector moves in synchronization with the movable collection device, such that the composite stream is collected on the collection surface forming a fibrous nonwoven structure having at least one non-linear edge.

摘要： In an absorbent structure for an absorbent article, a non-woven absorbent core extends from one longitudinal end region of the absorbent structure through a central region thereof to an opposite longitudinal end region of the absorbent structure. The absorbent core has a first face, a second face opposite the first face, and laterally opposite side edges. A liquid permeable wrapsheet is wrapped about the first face, the laterally opposite side edges and at least a portion of the second face of the absorbent core to define a wrapped configuration of the wrapsheet. Tbe wrapsheet is constructed of a non-woven material and is secured in its wrapped configuration about the absorbent core at at least one securement region having a length substantially less than the length of the absorbent structure.
