摘要: A heat exchanger has oil core plates and coolant core plates disposed in alternating, stacked relationship. Flow passages are provided between adjacent plates, so that the oil flow passages alternate with the coolant flow passages, and the oil can flow from an oil inlet opening of each oil plate, and through the oil flow passage to an oil outlet opening, and coolant can flow from a coolant inlet opening of each coolant plate through the coolant flow passage to a coolant outlet opening. The oil inlet openings are adjacent to one end of the plates, and the oil outlet openings are spaced from the oil inlet openings, with a passageway for flow of the oil between upstanding bosses of the coolant plates on opposed sides of each oil plate and extending from a gap in an upstanding flange of the oil plate to the oil outlet opening.

摘要: A method is described for diagnosing a heatable exhaust gas sensor of an internal combustion engine, in which a predefined chronologically varying or constant voltage or a predefined chronologically varying or constant current is generated with the aid of a voltage source, the voltage or the current is applied to terminals of the exhaust gas sensor, a current or applied voltage, which flows through the voltage source when the voltage or the current is applied, is detected, and the current or the voltage is analyzed to diagnose the exhaust gas sensor. To diagnose the exhaust gas sensor, which permits a reliable and accurate diagnosis of the exhaust gas sensor and allows a statement about the type of a possibly existing error on the exhaust gas sensor, the method is executed independently of a control and/or regulating unit of the internal combustion engine, an operating temperature of the exhaust gas sensor being regulated to a predefined temperature value with the aid of a regulating element, which is separate from the control and/or regulating unit.

摘要: Disclosed is a gas sensor, particularly a lambda probe, for determining the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine that is operated using a fuel-air mixture. Said gas sensor comprises a pump cell with an outer electrode that is exposed to the exhaust gas, an inner electrode located in a measuring chamber which is separated from the exhaust gas by means of a first diffusion barrier, and an electronic circuit for generating a voltage applied between the outer electrode and the inner electrode as well as for measuring and evaluating a pump current that is generated in said process in order to draw a conclusion therefrom about the composition of the fuel-air mixture. The inventive gas sensor is characterized in that the outer electrode is arranged in an independent measuring volume which is separated by means of an additional, second diffusion barrier whose coefficient of diffusion is different from that of the first diffusion barrier while the circuit is configured so as to preferably repeatedly reverse the polarity of the voltage.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to a method and systems operable or arranged to reduce detectability of an encryption key used in a communication network to encrypt messages transmitted between a base station and a mobile station over the air. One or more bits are determined in each case at random positions in the messages. Subsequently, random bit errors are generated in the messages in each case by inverting the bits prior to transmitting the message over the air. Introducing random bit errors into the messages corresponds to artificially lowering transmission quality, which makes it harder for an eavesdropper to detect the encryption key from well-known messages, while a legitimate receiver may correct the random bit errors by using conventional forward error correction features.

摘要: An insertion device for a cable in an existing pipe network includes a longitudinally stable flexible element that can be inserted into a pipe region of the pipe network, and on which a head part can be placed. The head part can be diverted to pass through regions of bends of the pipe. Placed on the flexible element is a coupling part to which coupling part the cable to be pulled can be coupled. The head part includes a base body having an elongated shape, which can be led from a stretched position into a bent position. The base body includes guide elements by which at least one pulling element is guided that is spaced apart from the bending axis of the base body. One end of the pulling element is held at one end region of the base body, whereas the other end is held at a drivable linear drive that is attached at the other end region of the base body. Disposed at the end region, remote from the flexible element, of the head part are a light source and a camera. With this device, bends, elbows, and branches in an existing pipe network can be passed through in the desired direction without a problem.
