摘要: This invention presents a process and an apparatus for repeatedly forming a high contrast image on a photosensitive member substantially comprising a conductive layer, a photoconductive layer and an insulating layer. According to this invention, during the processing steps of a latent image formed on the photosensitive member, an exposure step or means is provided for preventing the effect of a corona discharge of the same polarity as of the polarity of the photoconductive layer from affecting the succeeding latent image formation on the photosensitive member.

摘要: A dental implant is provided that is capable of reliably preventing elution of metal when the dental implant is applied within an oral cavity and capable of reliably preventing the occurrence of mismatching (bumpy occlusion or the like) when the dental implant is fixed in place. The dental implant includes an abutment comprising a titanium member composed of a body made from titanium or titanium alloy and having a recess, and a ceramic member composed of oxide-based ceramic and having a protrusion fitted within the recess. In a pre-sintered state, the recess has a first surface shape providing a clearance between the recess and the protrusion inserted therein. In a post-sintered state, the recess has a second surface shape corresponding to a surface shape of the protrusion so that the protrusion is in close contact with and fitted to the recess.

摘要: A soundproofing cover absorbs noises, produced by a vehicle. It is fastened to a plurality of vehicle-side installation portions, and includes a cover body, composed of a polymer foamed substance, and a plurality of brackets, held integrally to the cover body. The respective brackets have an installation portion and a holding portion. The installation portion is to be fastened to the vehicle-side installation portions. The holding portion is held and fastened integrally to the cover body. At least two of the installation portions constitute a datum bracket, connected by one of the holding portions shared commonly. The positioning accuracy can be improved in the installation of the soundproofing cover to the vehicle-side installation portions so that the installation operability can be upgraded. In addition, the increment of the weight can be kept minimum so that the lightweighting requirement can be satisfied.

摘要: A bone substitute material is prepared by firing and pulverizing animal bones into animal bone powder, mixing the animal bone powder and a divalent metal compound into a powdery mixture, and kneading the powdery mixture with chitosan sol. Alternatively, a bone substitute sheet is prepared by mixing at least one of apatite and animal bone powder with chitosan sol into a mixture, forming a pre-processed sheet of the mixture, and neutralizing the sheet by an aqueous solution of a compound. The bone substitute material and sheet have a pH value falling within a neutral range.

摘要: A necessary number of knitting needles are slid at a predetermined timing along a multiplicity of parallel sliding grooves of a single needle bed, and a predetermined number of knitting yarn guides take lapping movements to form desired stitches of the knitting yarns while a monofilament bending means between one end of the needle bed and the yarn guides is operated at a predetermined timing for reciprocating along a predetermined number of knitting yarns at an underlapping position. During this reciprocating movement, a head-portion-holding member is moved between a holding position for holding a head portion of each fastener element from an inside thereof and a non-holding position, in synchronism with the bending of a monofilament. As a result, individual fastener elements are continuously formed by bending the monofilament, which is at the same time knitted in a warp-knit fastener tape simultaneously with the knitting of the tape, so that it is possible to efficiently manufacture a woven slide fastener stringer stable in shape.

摘要: A dental-care device is constructed from a planar base and a wire receiving part positioned on the top surface of the planar base. Slots extending straight horizontally are formed at the center of the wire receiving part, and wire is passed through these slots. The device is preferably manufactured by a metal powder injection molding method, and is composed of metal material which contains Ti as the base component, C in an amount of from about 0.03-0.5 wt % by weight of the metal material, O in an amount of from about 0.08-0.8 wt % by weight of the metal material, and N in an amount of from about 0.03-0.6 wt % by weight of the metal material. A large number of pores may be scattered at least in the vicinity of the surface of the metal material. This device can be easily manufactured, has a good surface wetness characteristic, and has functional portions, such as portions of low friction and portions of superior adhesiveness.
