摘要: An external infusion device for delivering insulin from a reservoir into a body of a user includes the capability to deliver time-shifted basal insulin. The external infusion device includes at least one drive mechanism operatively couplable to the reservoir to deliver insulin into the body of the user, at least one processor to control the external infusion device, at least one power supply, at least one display device operatively coupled to the processor to provide visual information to the user, at least one input device operatively coupled to the processor to allow the user to command the processor, and a housing. Time-shifting of basal insulin occurs when a portion of basal insulin is added to a bolus, to a current basal rate, or to a bolus and a current basal rate.

摘要: A method of making an electronic device comprising a double bank well-defining structure, which method comprises: providing an electronic substrate; depositing a first insulating material on the substrate to form a first insulating layer; depositing a second insulating material on the first insulating layer to form a second insulating layer; removing a portion of the second insulating layer to expose a portion of the first insulating layer and form a second well-defining bank; depositing a resist on the second insulating layer and on a portion of the exposed first insulating layer; removing the portion of the first insulating layer not covered by the resist, to expose a portion of the electronic substrate and form a first well-defining bank within the second well-defining bank; and removing the resist. The method can provide devices with reduced leakage currents.

摘要: A control network carries information between nodes in a control system. For example, in one aspect of the invention, a control network includes first and second nodes, each of which is associated with at least one device in a control system, such as a controller, actuator, sensor, or otherwise. The first node is configured to wirelessly transmit information for simultaneous, or substantially simultaneous, transfer to the second node over at least two pathways. Those pathways can be made up of one or more network segments that interconnect nodes in the control network. In some cases, at least one of the at least two pathways is through a third and/or further nodes. Further, the first node can employ different radio channels, e.g., using different frequencies from one another, over at least one of the at least two pathways to transmit information to the second node.

摘要: A rack of the type for circulating air interiorly for drying multiple pairs of boots and/or gloves, where the articles to be dried are sprayed with a liquid sterilizing agent while on the rack. The blower housing, manifold and hollow members of the rack have no exterior horizontal surfaces to prevent pooling of the sterilizing agent. In addition, drain holes are provided in the blower housing, rack tubes and manifold to prevent interior trapping of sterilizing agent or moisture from condensation. In one version intended for sterilizing with power connected, a conduit in the manifold drains any liquid in the blower housing directly into the rack tubes. Another lower cost version is intended for sterilizing after electrical power has been externally disconnected and has liquid/moisture drain holes in the blower housing. Either version may be wall mounted or arranged as portable free standing single or double sided rack drying systems.

摘要: A system for managing electronic deposits remitted to billers includes a first node connected to a network for receiving electronic remittances, a data repository connected to the network for storing account information and account identifier data, a first software routine for looking up account information in the data repository based on received account identifier data, and a second software routine for causing a deposit or credit into an account identified by the account identifier data. Each account subject to electronic deposit is registered with the system, the system issuing an account identifier unique to each account, the identifier used in place of the account number by account owners in remittance instruction to payers.
