摘要: Disclosed herein is a disposable set for operation with first and second concentrate containers in fluid communication with first and second concentrate container connectors. The disposable set includes a pumping cassette comprising at least a first concentrate port and a second concentrate port. The disposable cassette also includes a first concentrate line in fluid communication with the first concentrate port and a second concentrate line in fluid communication with the second concentrate port. The first concentrate line terminates at a first concentrate line connector having a first configuration for mating with the first concentrate container connector. The second concentrate line terminates at a second concentrate line connector having a second, different configuration for mating with the second concentrate container connector, such that the first concentrate line connector cannot mate with the second concentrate container connector and the second concentrate line connector cannot mate with the first concentrate container connector.

摘要: Systems comprising: an analyte sensor for providing an analyte signal representative of an analyte level; a controller in data communication with the analyte sensor and programmed to provide a recommended medication dose based on the analyte level and a medication type, the controller comprising a user interface for inputting the medication type; and a model-based safety mechanism integrated with the controller for evaluating the recommended medication dose. Wherein the model-based safety mechanism overrides the recommended medication dose and provides a safety medication dose when the model-based safety mechanism detects a risk of insulin deprivation.

摘要: A method of managing insulin includes receiving blood glucose measurements on a computing device from a glucometer. The blood glucose measurements are separated by a time interval. The method includes determining, by the computing device, an insulin dose rate based on the blood glucose measurements and determining a blood glucose drop rate based on the blood glucose measurements and the time interval. The method also includes determining a blood glucose percentage drop based on the blood glucose measurements. The method includes decreasing the time interval between blood glucose measurements by the glucometer when the blood glucose drop rate is greater than a threshold drop rate, and decreasing the time interval between blood glucose measurements by the glucometer when the blood glucose percentage drop is greater than a threshold percentage drop.

摘要: An inhaler device for pulmonary delivery of at least one substance from a drug dose cartridge to an inhaling user, including: a first conduit for conducting a carrier airflow to a proximal opening of a mouthpiece for use by the user, a holder configured to position the dose cartridge within the carrier airflow; and a second conduit for conducting a shunting airflow to the mouthpiece without passing through the dose cartridge position. In some embodiments, a controller connected to a valve controls a rate of carrier airflow, for example by controlling the shunting airflow, based on a sensor indication of airflow rate and a target airflow profile.

摘要: An integrated system for the monitoring and treating diabetes is provided, including an integrated receiver/hand-held medicament injection pen, including electronics, for use with a continuous glucose sensor. In some embodiments, the receiver is configured to receive continuous glucose sensor data, to calculate a medicament therapy (e.g., via the integrated system electronics) and to automatically set a bolus dose of the integrated hand-held medicament injection pen, whereby the user can manually inject the bolus dose of medicament into the host. In some embodiments, the integrated receiver and hand-held medicament injection pen are integrally formed, while in other embodiments they are detachably connected and communicated via mutually engaging electrical contacts and/or via wireless communication.

The pressure sensor assembly senses a force and includes the plunger having a sensing surface configured to receive the force, the first pressure sensor operatively coupled to the plunger and configured to estimate the force applied to the sensing surface, and the second pressure sensor operatively coupled to the plunger and configured to estimate the force applied to the sensing surface. The processor is coupled to the first and second pressure sensors to estimate a magnitude of the force.
