摘要： In an input control device for use with an electric typewriter, word processor or computer, provided are a special back key which inputs the command for moving a visual indicator in a direction toward the beginning of a line of data, and a special advance key which inputs the command for moving the indicator in a direction toward the end of the line. With the special back key depressed, the indicator is moved to the beginning of the line when the indicator is within a data string and to the end of data string when the indicator is outside the data string. With the special advance key depressed, the indicator is moved to the end of the data string when the indicator is positioned within the data string except at the end of the data string and to the end of the line when the indicator is outside the data string except at the end of the data string.

摘要： A data input and processing apparatus as used in a typewriter, having a function of checking the spelling of entered words which are separated by word-separation data such as a space or a period. The apparatus has a device for inhibiting an operation defined by the word-separation data, e.g., a spacing movement to the next word, if the spelling-check device finds a misspelled word. Where there exists at least one numeral and/or symbol preceding or following the entered word, the numeral and/or symbol are ignored in checking the spelling of the entered data. When a misspelled word is found, the entered word is first erased, and then at least one candidate word which replaces the mispelled word is presented to the operator. The apparatus may have a plurality of operation modes including a candidate indication mode for displaying the candidate word, an ignoring mode for ignoring a misspelling alarm, a retyping mode for re-entering a correct word, and a correction mode in which the misspelled word is corrected in part by changing and/or deleting the characters.

摘要： A printer with a frame-printing function can automatically print out a frame with horizontal lines and vertical lines well-conformed to each other. The memory device of the printer stores externally input format data including data of line spacing, data of vertical line positions, and data of the number of horizontal lines. Based on these format data, the horizontal lines are printed first, and then the vertical lines are printed, so that the bottom end of each vertical line touches the bottom horizontal line without going beyond it.
