    摘要: A liquid droplet forming method is used with an apparatus that includes a liquid jet recording head having a plurality of blocks of thermal elements, each of which blocks includes a plurality of the thermal elements arranged on a substrate at a pitch of at least ten thermal elements per millimeter, with each thermal element ejecting a liquid droplet from the head upon application thereto of a drive signal pulse. Each drive signal pulse comprises a multi-part signal that includes a first part that pre-heats the liquid to an extent that a droplet is not ejected followed by a second part which heats the pre-heated liquid to an extent that a bubble is formed and a liquid droplet is ejected from the head. The plural blocks of thermal elements are driven in accordance with the generated drive signal pulses in a time-division manner such that no two blocks are driven simultaneously. In addition, the thermal elements in each block are driven in successive activation cycles by permitting time-divided application of drive signal pulses to all of the thermal elements in each block during each cycle.

    摘要: In the printer, each printing hammer is composed of a pair of electroconductive elastic members arranged parallel to the axis of a type drum and is provided with paramagnetic material at its head. The hammer, when not used, is kept pulled in the non-printing position with the paramagnetic material attracted by a permanent magnet to accumulate mechanical energy in the elastic members. When the accumulated energy is discharged by an electromagnet provided at each hammer head including the paramagnetic material, printing operation is executed. Finishing the printing operation, the hammers return quickly to their home positions by the permanent magnet attraction force. A type drum and hammer heads are composed of an organic resilient substance.

    摘要: In a printing hammer driving system, there is provided a character-bearing member having a plurality of identical characters disposed in mutually offset relationship in each of lines. The characters in each of the lines differ from those in any other line. A group of hammers is disposed in opposed relationship with the character-bearing member for impacting the characters thereon. A group of driving circuits is connected to the group of hammers for driving respective ones of the hammers. A group of gates is connected to the inputs of the group of driving circuits for selecting the hammers. Each of the gates has at least two input terminals. Memory means are provided which each have the output thereof connected to one of the input terminals of each gate for storing print digit information. Selector means are provided which each are connected to the other input terminal of each gate for selecting one or more of the gates.
