    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display element and an image signal line drive unit for supplying a gradation/tone voltage and having a plurality of semiconductor integrated circuit devices. Each semiconductor integrated circuit device has an input circuit unit which is provided at a central portion along a longitudinal direction of the semiconductor integrated circuit device and provided in a short side direction of the semiconductor integrated circuit device. A first output terminal section is provided in the longitudinal direction of the semiconductor integrated circuit device on both sides of a central portion in the short side direction of the semiconductor integrated circuit device of the input circuit unit, and a pair of output circuit units are provided on the both sides of the first output terminal section in the short-side direction of the semiconductor integrated circuit device.

The drain driver is mounted on the film substrate, and the output terminals are connected to the first wirings between the film substrate and the drain driver. The output terminal includes first group terminals formed in parallel with a longer edge of the drain driver, and second group terminals formed in parallel with the longer edge and disposed between the loner edge and the first group terminals.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device is provided with a driver circuit which can cope with an increase in the number of pixels per device. The liquid crystal display device has signal lines for driving individual pixels and a driver circuit connected to the signal lines, on a liquid-crystal-side surface of either one of substrates disposed to oppose each other with a liquid crystal interposed therebetween. The driver circuit includes a film substrate, interconnection layers formed on a surface of the film substrate, and a semiconductor chip mounted on the film substrate, and bumps are formed on the semiconductor chip inwardly of the periphery thereof. Some of the interconnection layers are connected to the bumps of the semiconductor chip, and then run under the semiconductor chip and extend to the periphery of the film substrate.

A phase of the control signal is reversed at intervals of two horizontal scanning lines.

In a liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal display element and liquid crystal driver circuitry, the liquid crystal driver circuitry is operable to receive an image signal as input thereto for taking it into a bus at the timing of a change of an internal clock signal from a first level to a second level or alternatively its change from the second level to the first level and then select from the image signal as taken or “accepted” into the bus a voltage used to drive the liquid crystal display element, wherein the internal clock signal is the clock signal that causes a first level period and a second level period of an external clock signal being input to the liquid crystal driver circuitry to be made identical or equalized by a clock compensation circuit to specified values respectively.

    摘要: In a display device, profile emphasizing is performed without using a frame memory while realizing the further reduction of power consumption. A display device includes a display panel provided with a plurality of pixels each of which has a pixel electrode, and a drive circuit which supplies a video signal to the respective pixels through video lines. Here, the drive circuit includes a profile emphasizing circuit which generates profile emphasizing display data which emphasizes a profile in response to display data inputted from the outside and emphasizes a profile portion of an image to be displayed on the display panel, and a memory which stores the profile emphasizing display data. The profile emphasizing circuit includes a latch circuit which sequentially stores continuous k(k≧2) pieces of display data in display data for 1 display line and an arithmetic circuit which generates the profile emphasizing display data based on the k pieces of display data stored in the latch circuit.
