    Abstract: A tube for a heat exchanger includes a tube outer body enclosing a tube inner volume, and a corrugated insert received within the tube inner volume. The tube outer body has a pair of broad planar walls joined by arcuate end walls. The corrugated insert defines flow channels through the tube, with opening in flanks of the insert allowing for flow communication between adjacent flow channels. Bypass channels adjacent the arcuate end walls are fluidly isolated from the adjacent flow channels by the absence of such openings in the end flanks. Flow through the bypass channels is obstructed by flow blocks at one or both ends of the bypass channels.

    Abstract: An indirect gas cooler is constructed from stacked pairs of plates with fins arranged in between. The stack is arranged in a housing into which the gas flows, flows through the fins, and leaves the housing again. The gas is in thermal exchange with the liquid that flows in the plate pairs and that is introduced into the plate pairs via at least one inlet and is discharged via at least one outlet. A ventilating member is provided in the stack for discharging entrained gases from the liquid. The ventilating member is formed from aligned plate openings which produce a ventilating duct that is hydraulically connected with a liquid space in the stack. The indirect gas cooler can be used to cool compressed charge air for an internal combustion engine.

    Abstract: A heat exchanger arrangement in a housing, such as an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine, has at least one stack including tubes and fins and an end plate having media connections, and wherein the stack is inserted into the housing and is fastened therein.     Abstract: A liquid cooler having a heat exchanger core located within a housing, the heat exchanger core secured to the housing by fastening points on the housing. The heat exchanger core having a stack of plate pairs or tubes, and the core also having ribs arranged in between the plate pairs or tubes. A cover plate with apertures is arranged on the heat exchanger core. The heat exchanger core is located within an insertion opening of the housing. An adapter rests on the cover plate in a sealing manner. The adapter includes at least one of an inlet port and an outlet port. The adapter is fastened to the housing at the fastening points, and provides a fluid connection to the apertures and the tubes or plate pairs.
