    Abstract: Provided are compositions for genome editing and site-directed integration in plants comprising microprojectile particles coated, treated or applied with a nuclease protein, guide RNA or RNP for delivery to a mature embryo explant from dry seeds. Further provided are methods for genome editing and site-directed integration in at least one cell of a plant using the disclosed compositions, and plants, plant parts and seeds comprising an edited genome or site-directed integration, which are produced by the disclosed methods.
