Abstract: A multilayer ceramic electronic component includes a multilayer body and an outer electrode on each end surfaces of the multilayer body. The outer electrode includes an underlying electrode layer and a plating layer on the underlying electrode layer. Void portions inside the underlying electrode layer are each filled with a barrier film. The barrier film is formed by an atomic layer deposition method.

Abstract: A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a multilayer body including dielectric layers and internal electrode layers alternately laminated, and external electrodes each on a corresponding one of two end surfaces opposed to each other in a length direction perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to a lamination direction of the multilayer body. The external electrodes are each connected to the internal electrode layers. Each of the external electrodes includes a stack including a base electrode layer on a corresponding one of the two end surfaces, a Ni plated layer on the base electrode layer, and a Sn plated layer on the Ni plated layer. Each of the external electrodes includes a region in which Sn is deposited between the base electrode layer and the Ni plated layer.

Abstract: An electricity storage device includes an internal element that has a first main surface, a second main surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a first end surface, and a second end surface, and that further includes a first internal electrode drawn out to the first end surface, a second internal electrode drawn out to the second end surface, a separator layer disposed between the first and second internal electrodes, and an electrolytic solution. Moreover, a first end surface electrode is disposed on the first end surface; and a second end surface electrode is disposed on the second end surface. The first internal electrode, the second internal electrode, the separator layer, the first end surface electrode, and the second end surface electrode are integrally sintered to form a sintered body.
