The downhole tool includes a housing defining a passage and a port extending through the housing. A key profile for effecting actuation of the seat to the plug-receiving position in response to registration of the key profile with a matching key on the plug being deployed through the passage is provided. The downhole tool further includes a flow control member configured for displacement relative to the port in response to application of a sufficient net force effected by a fluid pressure differential that is created by supplying pressurized fluid to the passage while the plug is deployed on the seat.

摘要: Apparatuses, systems and methods for controlling production of hydrocarbon material disposed within a subterranean formation are provided. In one aspect, a method is provided for producing hydrocarbon material by displacement via flow communication station of a production well. Working states of the production well are analyzed by setting the flow communication stations in the working state, producing hydrocarbon material while in the working state, and sensing a characteristic of the produced material while in the working state. A working state that optimizes operating parameters of the of the production well is determined based on the sensed characteristic, and the production well is subsequently operated in that working state.

摘要: Apparatuses, systems and methods for producing hydrocarbon material from a subterranean formation using a displacement process are disclosed. In one aspect, there is provided a method of controlling hydrocarbon production of hydrocarbon material disposed within a subterranean formation by a displacement process via a plurality of flow communication stations of an injection well. Characteristics of a supplied production-initiating fluid are determined uphole of the flow communication stations for a plurality of states of the injection well, wherein in each of the states of the injection well a different subset of the flow communication stations are disposed in an opened condition and a different subset of the flow communication stations are disposed in a closed condition. Characteristics may be determined at the surface, for example, at the wellhead. A state of the injection well that optimizes one or more operating parameters is determined. A condition of the flow communication stations is in accordance with the determined state of the injection well.

摘要: There is provided a method of stimulating a formation within a wellbore that is lined with a wellbore string, the wellbore string including a port and a flow control member, wherein the flow control member is displaceable relative to the port for effecting opening and closing of the port. The port is closed by displacing the flow control member with hydraulic hold down buttons prior to removing the sealing interface and effecting pressure equalization.

摘要: There is provided a locator configured for coupling to a workstring for locating a wellbore feature, The locator includes a protrusible member, a chamber, a hydraulic fluid supplying passage, and a hydraulic fluid supply source. The protrusible member is moveable, relative to the workstring, and biased for disposition, relative to the workstring, in an extended position. In the extended position, the protrusible member is engageable with the wellbore feature. The first chamber is disposed in fluid pressure communication with the protrusible member, and has a volume configured to change correspondingly with a change in position of the protrusible member such that expansion of the first chamber corresponds with an extension of the protrusible member and such that contraction of the first chamber corresponds with a retraction of the protrusible member. The hydraulic fluid supply source is fluidly coupled to the first chamber via the hydraulic fluid supplying passage. The hydraulic fluid supply source is configured to supply hydraulic fluid to the first chamber in response to an expansion in volume of the first chamber that is effected by the extension of the protrusible member.

摘要: There is provided a valve apparatus for disposition within a wellbore that is disposed within a subterranean formation, wherein the valve apparatus includes a housing including: (a) an outermost surface, (b) a fluid passage defined within the housing, (c) a port extending through the housing for effecting fluid communication between the reservoir and the fluid passage, (d) a first groove disposed on the outermost surface and defining a first fluid channel, for conducting reservoir fluid to the port, and extending from an outermost surface portion of the outermost surface to the port, wherein the minimum distance between the outermost surface portion and the port is at least two (2) inches, and a closure member displaceable relative to the port for effecting opening and closing of the port.
