    Abstract: A system and a method for clearing debris from the top of plug in a well are provided. In an exemplary system a plug for a well includes a cylindrical body, a sealing ring mounted in the cylindrical body, and a flapper valve disposed against the sealing ring in the cylindrical body. The plug also includes a torsion spring to open the flapper valve when a latch on the flapper valve is disengaged, a receiver to receive control signals, and an actuator controlled by the receiver to disengage the latch.

    Abstract: A body of a shear pin can be positioned in a pad stopper of a steering pad of a rotary steerable system. The rotary steerable system can be used to steer a drill in a wellbore. The steering pad can be positioned on the rotary steerable system such that a head of the shear pin is coupled with a lateral pad of the rotary steerable system. The head of the shear pin can deactivate the steering pad by preventing the steering pad from actuating. A fluid pulse can be output in the wellbore to break the shear pin for enabling the steering pad to actuate to cause the rotary steerable system to steer the drill in the wellbore.

    Abstract: A rotary steerable drilling system can be positioned in a subterranean formation to steer a drill to form a wellbore in the subterranean formation.     Abstract: A downhole tool includes a body defining a bore axially therethrough and a port in communication with the bore and extending radially through the body, an inner cap positioned in the port, the inner cap sealing the port, and an outer cap positioned in the port. The outer cap is spaced apart from the inner cap, and the outer cap seals the port, such that a chamber is defined between the inner and outer caps in the port. The inner cap is configured to move toward outer cap in response to a first pressure differential between bore and the chamber across the outer cap. The inner cap is configured to dislodge the outer cap from the port in response to the inner cap engaging the outer cap and a second pressure differential between the bore and an exterior of the downhole tool being reached across the inner cap.
