    Abstract: Provided are a system, a method, and the like which contribute to more reliably and smoothly providing information relating to an authentication result to a person who has been subjected to authentication. An information provision system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an authentication unit which authenticates an authentication subject, who is to be subjected to authentication, using a captured image of the authentication subject; a determination unit which, in accordance with information about the authentication subject or the conditions of the authentication subject, determines the transmission destination to which information relating to the authentication result is to be transmitted in order to notify the authentication subject of the authentication result; and a transmission unit which transmits the information to the determined transmission destination.

    Abstract: A photographing system according to one example embodiment includes a hardware photographing device configured to photograph each of a first pattern and a second pattern; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: set, for the hardware photographing device, a control value for changing the focal position; evaluate degrees of focus of a plurality of images of the first pattern and select an image having a maximum evaluation value, as well as evaluate degrees of focus of a plurality of images of the second pattern and select an image having a maximum evaluation value; and acquire a correspondence relationship between a focal position of an optical system and a control value, based on the control values used in capturing the images of the first pattern and the second pattern, and subject distances of the first pattern and the second pattern.

    Abstract: Provided is a gate system arranged between a first region and a second region, including a guide that defines a movement path of a user from the first region to the second region and an imaging device that photographs the user to acquire an image used for biometric authentication. The movement path includes a first portion in which the user is photographed and a second portion through which the user passes after being photographed. The first portion extends from the first region toward the imaging device in a first direction that is parallel to an optical axis of the imaging device. The second portion extends from an end of the first portion in a second direction that is not parallel to the first direction.

    Abstract: An imaging system includes: a first control unit that controls an imaging unit to capture a first image of a subject at a first pixel density; a detection unit that detects an eye position of the subject from the first image; a setting unit that sets a peripheral area around eyes of the subject on the basis of the eye position; and a second control unit that controls the imaging unit to capture a second image of the peripheral area at a second pixel density that is higher than the first pixel density. According to such an imaging system, it is possible to properly capture an image of the periphery of the eyes of the subject.

    Abstract: An imaging system includes: an acquisition unit acquiring an iris image captured by an iris imaging means for capturing an iris of a target person or a whole image captured by a whole imaging means for capturing the target person; an estimation unit estimating a three-dimensional position of a target person being included in the acquired whole image; a selection unit selecting a coordinate transformation matrix that transforms a three-dimensional position of the target person into two-dimensional coordinates; a transformation unit transforming coordinates of an eye of a target person being included in a whole image associated with the estimated three-dimensional position into two-dimensional coordinates, based on the selected coordinate transformation matrix; and a setting unit setting, based on the transformed coordinates of an eye of the target person, a parameter for capturing an iris of the target person by the iris imaging means.
