Abstract: Some embodiments of the disclosure provide a diabetic retinopathy recognition system (S) based on fundus image. According to an embodiment, the system includes an image acquisition apparatus (1) configured to collect fundus images. The fundus images include target fundus images and reference fundus images taken from a person. The system further includes an automatic recognition apparatus (2) configured to process the fundus images from the image acquisition apparatus by using a deep learning method. The automatic recognition apparatus automatically determines whether a fundus image has a lesion and outputs the diagnostic result. According to another embodiment, the diabetic retinopathy recognition system (S) utilizes a deep learning method to automatically determine the fundus images and output the diagnostic result.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for determining the direction of gaze. A specific implementation of the method includes: obtaining a face or eye image of a target subject, and establishing a feature extraction network; using an adversarial training method to optimize the feature extraction network, and implicitly removing the gaze-irrelevant features extracted by the feature extraction network, so that the feature extraction network extracts gaze-related features from the face or eye image to obtain the gaze-related features; determining the target gaze direction based on the gaze-related features. This implementation can separate the gaze-irrelevant features contained in the image features from the gaze-related features, so that the image features contain the gaze-related features, and that the accuracy and stability of the determined direction of gaze are further improved.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose an edge-guided human eye image analyzing method. A specific implementation of this method comprises: collect a human eye image as an image to be detected; obtain a human eye detection contour map; obtain a semantic segmentation detection map and an initial human eye image detection fitting parameter; performing an iterative search on the initial human eye image detection fitting parameter to determine a target human eye image detection fitting parameter; sending the semantic segmentation detection map and the target human eye image detection fitting parameter as image analyzing results to a display terminal for display. This implementation improves the accuracy at the boundary dividing the pupil-iris area, and increases the structural integrity of the ellipse resulted from dividing the pupil-iris area. In addition, the iterative search can achieve a more accurate ellipse parameter fitting result.

Abstract: A retina image template matching method is based on the registration and comparison between the images captured with portable low-cost fundus cameras (e.g., a consumer grade camera typically incorporated into a smartphone or tablet computer) and a baseline image. The method solves the challenges posed by registering small and low-quality retinal template images captured with such cameras. Our method combines dimension reduction methods with a mutual information (MI) based image registration technique. In particular, principle components analysis (PCA) and optionally block PCA are used as a dimension reduction method to localize the template image coarsely to the baseline image, then the resulting displacement parameters are used to initialize the MI metric optimization for registration of the template image with the closest region of the baseline image.

Abstract: There is provided a vehicle system including a sensing unit, a processing unit, a control unit and a display unit. The sensing unit is configured to capture an image frame containing an eyeball image from a predetermined distance. The processing unit is configured to calculate a pupil position of the eyeball image in the image frame and generate a drive signal corresponding to the pupil position. The control unit is configured to trigger a vehicle device associated with the pupil position according to the drive signal. The display unit is configured to show information of the vehicle device.

Abstract: A camera-based eye-tracking system and a data classification method for persistent human-machine interfaces (HMI). An exemplary system may employ a deep learning algorithm (e.g., convolutional neural network) for classifying eye directions. In some implementations, the pupil center corneal reflection method of an eye tracker is employed for gaze tracking. The example system can use a supervisory control and data acquisition architecture that can be universally applied to any screen-based HMI task.
