Abstract:
A fastening element operable for securing to a shank of a bolt-like element, the fastening element comprising an engaging part and a head part. The engaging part, comprises a longitudinally extending bush and an engaging body that projects radially inward. The bush and the engaging body partially define a receptacle in which the shank of the bolt-like element can be received. The head part is arranged above the engaging part and comprises a main body and a supporting portion. The head part is movably engaged with the engaging part by a bayonet catch and can be moved between a free position and a locked position, and, when in the locked position, the supporting portion covers the engaging body and blocks the engaging body from moving in translation along the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A method of feeding a stud to a joining head including a stud shank clamp and operable to join the stud to a workpiece, and wherein the method of feeding the stud comprises the steps of providing a stud holding device including a securing sleeve and a plurality of collet arms; feeding the stud into the stud holding device to a first position wherein the flange is arranged above the free end of the plurality of arms and below the securing sleeve; and securing the stud in the first position by engaging the securing sleeve behind the flange.
Abstract:
A plastic nut for multiple detachable fastening onto a stud with a thread protruding from a workpiece includes a base body with an inner surface partially defining a cylindrical recess penetrating the base body. A support surface is attached to the base body at an axial end of the plastic nut. A clamping device is attached to the plastic nut and configured to provide a clamping force between the plastic nut and the stud when the stud is installed in the cylindrical recess.
Abstract:
A fastening element comprises a housing having a top side and a bottom side and partially defines a recess extending along a longitudinal axis and adapted to receive the shaft of a stud, and a slit extending radially from the recess. The fastening element further comprising a spring ring seated in the slit and protruding radially into the recess. The sprig ring is seated rotatable in the slit, so that a rotational motion of the spring ring within the housing is allowed. The spring ring comprises a body and spring fingers, wherein the body is an annular body partially defining a hole, and wherein the spring fingers protrude radially into the hole.
Abstract:
A clip for connecting at least two components that are provided with fastening through openings, the clip having a base body that includes a dished flange at one end and a fastening section at the opposite end, on the fastening section are located first elastic retaining fingers, which extend axially toward the flange, and second elastic retaining fingers, which extend axially away from the flange.
Abstract:
A nut for fastening a first workpiece defining a through recess to a second workpiece including a bolt projecting in an axial direction through the recess, and the nut comprises an axially extending shank and flange at a first end of the shank, and the nut defines a bore extending axially through the flange and into the shank and further defines an opening to the bore proximate to the first end of the shank, and the nut further includes an elastic holding section radially outward of the opening, and the nut partially defines a depression radially outward of the holding section, so that the holding section can flex radially outward into the depression when the nut is jammed onto the bolt.
Abstract:
Arrangement with a fastener (for the fastening of a covering part to a supporting part comprising a stud, in particular a part of the body of a motor vehicle. The fastener comprises a main body with a first fastening section comprising a cavity adapted to receive the stud, the cavity longitudinally extending along a longitudinal axis, and at least one resilient locking finger having a first end, connected to the main body, and a second end, extending within the cavity, and a catching portion, adapted to engage with the stud in order to fix the fastener to the supporting part. The cavity is laterally and axially accessible, and the catching portion comprises a first and a second fin separated by a gap, wherein the first and second fins face the cavity and the fins and the gap are adapted to support a threaded shaft of a stud and/or the head of a stud.
Abstract:
A fastening element for holding onto a stud, the fastening element having a body extending along an axis and including a wall of substantially uniform thickness that partially defines an axially extending through hole; a sprue located only at a single axial injection end of the wall; and wherein the fastening element is formed of an injection molded liquid crystal polymer material that flowed into the body via the sprue.
