    Abstract: A nozzle cleaning apparatus has one cleaning liquid outlet to which a nozzle is attached, and the other cleaning liquid outlet to which a cleaning attachment is attached. The cleaning attachment includes a nozzle cover, and a cleaning holder attached to the nozzle cover. A cleaning chamber is formed in the nozzle cover. A cleaning liquid inflow chamber, an outer cleaning liquid ejection port, and a cleaning liquid discharge hole are formed in the cleaning holder. A cleaning liquid ejected in a first direction from the nozzle and a cleaning liquid ejected in a second direction from the outer cleaning liquid ejection portion toward the nozzle collide with each other near discharge portions inside the cleaning chamber.

    Abstract: A cutting jig cuts bonding material of a terminal joint between a magnetic head's slider and a flexure's wiring terminal. A base of the jig receives the slider. A blade moves along the base and faces a front side wall of the slider in a moving direction. An upright portion of the jig is formed on the base and has a stop face that faces a rear side wall of the slider in the moving direction. The blade moves toward the slider to come into contact with the bonding material, and is pressed to the front side wall of the slider. The bonding material is interposed in the moving direction while the rear side wall of the slider is brought into contact with and is stopped by the stop face when the slider is set on the base and the bonding material is cut.

    Abstract: A viscous liquid feed nozzle has a nozzle body having a thin and long hole with a front end serving as a feed port. The nozzle is used with a viscous liquid feed unit to feed a viscous liquid such as a viscous adhesive from the feed port. The nozzle has a lubricative plated layer at least on the inside and outside of the feed port. The lubricative plated layer is formed by electroless plating by immersing the nozzle in a plating tank containing a lubricative plating solution. A base end of the nozzle body may have a wide port. In this case, the lubricative plated layer is formed by immersing the nozzle body in the plating tank containing the lubricative plating solution so that the lubricative plating solution enters the wide port and by applying pressure or gravity to the lubricative plating solution in the wide port to pass the lubricative plating solution through the thin and long hole of the nozzle body and discharge the same from the feed port. The viscous liquid feed nozzle with the lubricative plated layer is capable of stably feeding a very small quantity of a viscous liquid.
