    Abstract: A light emitting module includes a laser element and a first transistor including a first electrode connected to the laser element, a second electrode connected to a power supply, and a control electrode. A second transistor includes a first electrode connected to a second reference potential via a first resistor, a second electrode connected to a first reference potential, and a control electrode. The control electrode of the first transistor is connected to the first electrode of the second transistor and the first resistor. A conversion member is to convert a laser beam emitted by the laser element and includes a sensing wire via which the control electrode of the second transistor is connected to a third reference potential. The control electrode of the second transistor is connected to a fourth reference potential via a second resistor.

    Abstract: A light-emitting module including: a laser element; a converting member; a sense wiring; an electric potential determining circuit configured to output a first value when an electric potential at a first end of the sense wiring is in a predetermined range, and to output a second value when the electric potential at the first end of the sense wiring is out of the predetermined range; a first switching element electrically connected in series to the laser element, the first switching element configured to become conductive when the output is the first value, and to become non-conductive when the output is the second value; and a second switching element electrically connected in parallel to a circuit comprising the laser element and the first switching element, the second switching element configured to become conductive when the output is the second value, and to become non-conductive when the output is the first value.

    Abstract: A light emission module includes a first light emission unit that includes a first light emission device and emits first light. The first light emission device includes a plurality of first light emission portions, each including a light emission surface, where light from a plurality of first light emission elements is emitted, a heat dissipation surface provided opposite to the light emission surface, and a connection portion being positioned between the light emission surface and the heat dissipation surface and including a wiring mounting surface where the light emission elements are electrically connected. The light emission module further includes a first optical member that reflects the first light, a housing including a base member where the first light emission unit and the first optical member are disposed and a lid member surrounding the light emission device surrounding the first light emission unit and the first optical member that are disposed on the base member, and a heat sink being connected to the heat dissipation surface and including a mounting surface where the first light emission device is mounted. The wiring mounting surface extends upward upper than a first upper surface of the housing, and a portion of the wiring mounting surface is exposed to the outside of the housing.
